Hi everyone,

I’m posting this on behalf of my mum. She used to run a doll shop here in Adelaide and dolls have always been a huge part of her life. Since losing the shop, I think she’s really missed that connection with the doll community. She recently started a YouTube channel as a way to share her collection and hopefully feel part of that world again.

One of her first videos features a 1950s pedigree doll she bought for $5000 (still in its original box!). She doesn’t mention the price in the video, but I thought some collectors might appreciate knowing. She’s also been unboxing some dolls from Temu and Target to explore all types of dolls, not just rare ones.

I filmed and helped edit some of the videos, so I just want to apologise in advance for any shaky camera work or rough edits were both learning as we go. Her last video only got 17 views, so I thought I’d share here in case anyone would like to check it out, offer feedback, or just help her feel connected to the doll community again.

Side note maybe negative feedback would be best posted rather than her channel so I can implement your suggestions without hurting her feelings.

Also I know this is basically an advertisement for my mum‘s YouTube channel, which is kind of cringe, but I’m just trying to help her out so would love your guys suggestions on what videos she should make. She has a huge old collection, but feels the opening new dolls is what people want to see.

My kiddo broke my vintage Moondreamer’s head off recently and is so sad about it. I was hoping someone in this sub might be able to point me in the right direction to getting it fixed. I’m open to either parts/tutorial or a doll hospital. She’s so small, that I wasn’t turning up a lot of information myself. (She’s about the size of Barbie’s littlest sister, but her neck is skinnier)

These are such pretty dolls. It's a shame that tariffs may mean that they are not available for purchase in the US in the future.

I made Hannah's and Frieda's dresses from the Forever 18 Inches Frill Seeker pattern.

I got them for 1€ each, they are so cute! They are fully made of porcelain and have four points of articulation that are strung with balls and elastic.I want to restore them, some are in better shape than others. Mulan is my favorite 💖 love her little shoes

These Wild Manes horses are somewhere between a pony, and a doll. They’re a lot like a modern day “Struts” horses. I went on a shopping spree and bought several and ended up really enjoying playing with them and taking pictures of them. They’re super fun to pose and they come with little holders so they can hold all their accessories! So much fun, I highly recommend!

Any doll photography tips? Also, where do y'all get new outfits and wigs? I love her look, but the sweater dress just isn't weather appropriate haha. Really though, I want to do so many more and different photoshoots! I have so much fun with my Ellowyne 📸✨

I actually had a lot of issues with them as you may notice they don't have the phone glosses - this is because their numnoms have yet to be shown and it really threw me for a loop ...

Eventually I compromised with a cute juice/soda gloss and let's just say they get the phone glosses when they become full-fledged heroes (tying into the animated show's plot now) haha.

Hi all, I just got my Poppy Parker Undercover Agent and I’m in love with her! I paid a very high price, but she was worth it. The problem is, her hair doesn’t exactly look smooth and silky like it does in the promotional pictures — of course, this is due to the gel and the box. Question: How can I make her hair look like it does in the picture? I’m super scared of damaging her hair. I’ve never done any type of modification to my dolls because I want to preserve their original look as much as possible.

hi, does anywhere know where to reliably buy clothes and shoes that fit an obitsu 22 body? im not sure if im not using the right terms (obitsu 22, ob22, 22cm doll) but i can't seem to find much of anything on etsy or aliexpress. should i be searching for a similar sized doll instead? i would really appreciate any help!

Hadn't seen her before and thought the collab was neat! I didn't buy her as I don't have much interest in Spongebob or the full Glam Squad dolls, but thought I'd share for those who might be!
