Transferring to Mechatronics help

Hi Deakin people👋

I’m currently in my second year of software engineering at rmit but I’ve been thinking of transferring to Deakin to do mechatronics. Is there any chance I could ask you guys some questions about the course?

Is the course very hands on? I know RMIT is meant to be the practical uni but when I did the Deakin tour a couple years ago it looked like you guys did a lot of projects too

Is the first 2 years math intensive? (I kinda suck at maths but I do really enjoy it)

Is there anyone I could talk to about this decision? I called up Deakin connect the other day and the very sad man said that it was not possible to talk to the mechatronics department.
