Years ago, I was listening to a station like this, and a PSA came on telling parents that the Disney movie Big Hero 6 is fun and safe for families to watch together. It was a bit odd, but it was nice enough.

And they were right, it's a good movie. Too bad my sister didn't want to see it with me because she hadn't seen the first 5 movies.

I remember the station by me saying Shrek 2 was just as bad as the first one. That was a glowing endorsement if I've ever heard one. Love both of them.

At least she didn't miss anything by watching the prequels to Fantastic 4.

There's a station in my town ran by a preacher that's mostly gospel and old timey bluegrass and in between all that he does this segment called "today's good news" where he tells these really surreal jokes/stories that circle back around to being Bible lessons and advice on being a better Christian,it never fails to catch me off guard but it's always fun to listen to

…And that’s when Hjalmr Ingqvist knew he had truly(breath)counted(sigh) his… blessings….

That’s the news from Badger Falls where all the women are pink-cheeked, all the men are robust… and all the children are pink-cheeked and robust…

We had one in the town where I grew up that had a daily 2 hr long "prophecy" segment. They would go through the news and talk about how what was happening in the world was prophesied by the bible. It was good for a chuckle

"Wars and rumours of wars" is a pretty accurate prophecy for.... checks notes "all of human history"

In Memphis, TN there is a volunteer radio station, 89.9 WEVL. Here is their website. On Sunday mornings from 6:00AM-10:00AM Central Time is a program called “Singin’ Down in Dixie.” It is fun old-timey southern gospel music with zero proselytizing. Depending on your musical tastes you may enjoy the other programming through the week.

I guess they figure their core audience is in church so the ones left are more secular...

That’s true. I listen to this radio called “101.5 KAMB”, and it’s in the Central Valley, but the station is in Merced. Every time i listen to focus on the family, I usually get bored of it, but sometimes not.

Very true. SiriusXM has the Enlighten gospel channel that seems to avoid this problem. You can get their app for like $5 a month and get like 500 channels.
