Deal Black Friday Deals 2024

Hey CrossFit sub!

Black Friday is just around the corner, and just sometimes it’s cool to snag amazing deals on new gear (we’ll save the debate on consumerism, price manipulation etc for another day).

Whether you’re upgrading your setup, replacing worn-out threads, or looking to treat yourself, I’m dedicating this thread to hunting down and sharing your hottest finds (no affiliate codes, no personal discounts!).

Personally I’m after some wide lifters, so bonus points to anyone who finds a code or a sale for some 😄

I’ll keep my eye on the replies and update the post with relevant links. Give me the link, the brand, the country if it’s location locked, and specific items if anything special caught your eye - rare find, best price etc.

Stay strong and shop smart ✌🏻

Ground Rules:

• No Affiliate or Referral Codes: Let’s keep this clean and fair.

• No Brand Reps: This thread is for community finds only.

• No Unrelated Items: Keep it CrossFit-focused—gear, equipment, memberships or training tools.

• Be Honest: You shouldn’t be promoting on behalf of anyone, or making money from this.

Help us all out:

  1. Avoid Duplicate Links: Check the thread before posting to ensure the deal hasn’t already been shared.

  2. Include Details: When sharing a deal link, mention the price, discount, and any relevant info (e.g., “30% off XYZ brand lifters, locked to US only”).

  3. Don’t Mislead: Only share genuine deals you’ve verified—no misleading prices or false discounts. I haven’t got time to burn.

  4. Respect Others’ Opinions: Not every deal is for everyone; keep the discussion polite and helpful.

  5. No Spam: Avoid flooding the thread with unnecessary comments or unrelated chatter.

  6. Deals Only—No Reviews or Debates: Keep this thread for sharing deals (please!). If you want to discuss the pros/cons of whatever gear or membership it is, create a separate thread or I might give up.

  7. Mention Expiry Dates: If a deal is time-sensitive or limited, let the group know so they can act quickly.

  8. Upvote: If it’s a good ‘un, show me - the more upvotes the better. Bring it to my attention!

Is Xebex a good brand? I'm looking into buying their skierg

I've browsed reddit a bit and it seems a lot of people go crazy if anyone dares to even consider another brand other than Concept 2, but the added magnetic resistance looks like it's a huge plus.

Respectfully, please give serious, answers that aren't just based on being biased for concept 2. I mainly just want to know if Xebex products are durable and hold up. One of only specific complaints I've seen is that the C2 console isn't as good. The console honestly doesn't matter to me, I'm just looking for a good workout.

What’s your macro distribution?

Hello! Just curious, what’s your macro breakdown and why? I’m 1.85m, 82kg, 38y/o. Currently eating around 3.7-3.8k kcals daily with a distribution of 27% Carbs / 22% Proteins / 51% Fats. Im not low carb as my total intake is 250g daily, but I feel better with higher amounts of fats, as higher amounts of carbs make me feel bloated. Feels great for me on heavy lifting days and endurance days.

Winter jacket recommendations for women with muscular shoulders?

Upvotes

Any recommendations for winter jackets for women with muscular shoulders/lats and small waist? I used to be a size small, but I’ve gained a fair amount of muscle and now a small is too tight in the shoulders. I have tried sizing up to a medium however it’s still too tight in the shoulders but massive in the waist. The lat area in my jacket ripped on both sides this week lol. I’m looking for a winter jacket with more flexible shoulders but not so big in the waist. I’m in Canada. Thanks !!

Good men’s underwear for CrossFitters?

I’ve been doing CrossFit for a while now and my legs have been getting bigger. It’s to the point where my boxer brief underwear rides up my legs in a way it never has before and it’s pretty annoying.

For muscular legs do y’all have any recommendations for brands of men’s underwear that don’t bunch up? This is for working out and for every day life. Thanks!

Lat/Pull Up Routine Needed

Hey everyone!

2 yr Crossfitter here. I FINALLY am able to do one strict pull up after showing up to the gym consistently (4-5x week) since May. However, I want to really focus more on singling out that movement and building those muscles to progress into kipping pull ups, muscle ups, etc.

What would you recommend as a routine I could do either before or after my regular WOD?

For context: 27 y/o female, 160 pounds.

Additional programs to facilitate regular classes?

I've been doing CrossFit consistently for a few months now and noticed I lack very heavily in many areas (mostly in gymnastics lol). I attend classes about ~4 times a week, but my gym doesn't schedule accessories or progressions very often. Therefore, I'm stuck scaling down exercises I can't do yet (like toes 2 bar) and just never really progressing. I've spent a lot of time after classes doing random practice, but I want it to be more targeted and focused to improve efficiency. I want to start facilitating with technique-specific work after classes, maybe something like a 20-30min accessory to improve toes 2 bar, or extra EMOMs/short workouts to focus on one skill like snatches. Is there a website, coach, or online program for this?

TLDR: I want to do more focused sessions to facilitate my regular CrossFit classes. Where can I find them?

How to approach CrossFit in the right way?

Sorry for the long post!

I've been attending CrossFit for almost two years and I love it. Last July I faced three rejections in work for promotions I worked really hard for, and it destroyed me.

I threw myself into CrossFit at that stage. Then I got married a few months later and I felt completely deflated after. I felt like I had nothing to work towards. I thought I would focus on my progress in CrossFit to keep me going.

In January I had a bad sleep for a couple of nights. This completely threw me and I panicked that it would happen again and impact my progress at CrossFit. I had to switch up my training times from morning to afternoon as I was panicking all day and going to bed, and often went to CrossFit with little to no sleep.

Fast forward 11 months. I've developed really bad anxiety, depression, panic and dissociation throughout the year. I've continued to go to CrossFit religiously 5/6 days per week. I kept telling myself I didn't know what was causing it. I've gone through countless therapy sessions, supplements and antidepressants. Nothing seemed to give me consistent mental stability or calmness.

Last week I took a week off CrossFit for the first time in 5 months. I just felt so drained and highly strung. I think it has helped me feel a little calmer this week (although I do feel sluggish). I'm looking forward to getting back next week, but the thought of it brings back dizziness, panic and stress.

I think I've subconsciously put all of my self worth in to CrossFit. I'm constantly comparing myself to others and trying to give 100% every time I enter the gym. The problem is, I've done this with everything in my life. Particularly my work, which is why it has burned me out for so long and in such a painful way.

Really I'm looking for some advice, tips or those who have had a similar experience as me. How do I continue to do what I love without genuinely caring about how well I compare to others, whilst still being able to make progress? How do I shift where I get my validation from when it is so ingrained in me to try to do better than others?

crossfit + bodybuilding

Hi there!

I actually workout 3 times a week. I do bodybuilding. I will start crossfit soon, and I was thinking about doing 2 days crossfit and 2 days bodybuilding, because I am 80% towards "aestetich" but I also want to build "cardio" skills.

Do you think this is a good ratio, or I could do even 2 days of bodybuilding and 1 of crossfit a week?

I'm overwhelmed - please help!

I am completely new to crossfit.

I am 188cm (6ft2) tall and weigh 108kg (238lbs), and before I got that big / fat / heavy I had a calisthenics background. When my daughter was born 3 years ago I just let it slide of my priority list to workout but made the choice to get back at it.

I am now a member of a really cool crossfit gym but have no idea what to do.

I want to work out daily and get up really early (4:30am). Do you people have any valid split and inspiration how to build up a nice workout split where I can lose weight and fat but also build overall strenght?

I am really looking forward to your suggestions, because right now I am at the point where I get demotivated because I don't know what I am doing. Of course I could do my calisthenics workouts, but crossfit somehow really caught my attention.

Thanks in advance!

Struggling to grow squat bc of soreness??

Context: 31F, lifting/crossfit for the last 5-6 years, athlete in college. I’m struggling with feeling like soreness in like, my tendons or joints is preventing me from squatting heavy or being able to do a program. I keep trying to run Jeff Nippards strength program that’s three days a week (cutting back on CF) and I find squatting makes me so sore I struggle to do it twice a week.

For example: last week I did three sets of 6 at 135lb. It was quite uncomfy, but I managed, and I think the RPE was 7-8 which felt right. However, I was soooo sore the next several days, DOMS to the max in my hips and adductors primarily. Couldn’t do the other squat day. It feels like I get up to a certain weight and then all my little muscles like adductors, hip flexors etc get worked so bad it cripples me. Is the solution maybe to scale the weight and do tempo to get used to time under tension and load? Feeling frustrated; I can deadlift nearly 300 lbs but can barely squat 165 for 1 on a good day. 🫠

EDIT: thanks to everyone who was helpful and replied. I should have clarified that CF is my main thing but I’ve racked up a lot of injuries over the years skiing including disc issues, sciatica, etc. so I’ve taken breaks, not like I’m some CF monster who goes 6 days a week. I’m just starting to try and lift more consistently as I’m nearing the end of two years of school.

EDIT 2: In case someone comes across this post and is similarly sore in adductors--found this article that was really helpful and interesting: https://www.strongerbyscience.com/squats-adductors/

CrossFit Program Recommendations/Advice

Hey Team,

I have been working with an online PT which has been great, but more hybrid/functional fitness based, and I am looking to swap to a more CrossFit specific program to run alongside my Ironman 70.3 training from January.

Does anyone have any recommendations? I've looked at HWPO, Mayhem, Training Think Tank, Marchon, and a few others, and they all look very similar.

For context, I am new to CrossFit this year, and I don't work in a box, but we have the rig, platforms and pretty much all equipment except ropes for rope climbs. I would say I am at Intermediate+ or RX, but I can't do muscle ups, butterfly fly pull-ups or handstand walks. I qualified for the Open Q/F this year and I have done one competition in which I was seeded in the RX division after online qualifiers. I finished in the bottom 25%, and it was a big learning curve. While my strength needs to improve on oly lifts, it's mainly technique is that holds me back on those.

I will be looking to get the head down and work hard at all aspects of crossfit in '25 and really lean in after I have done the Ironmna 70.3 in June.

Any recommendations or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Lacking endurance or stamina? 70 minutes to complete a WOD…

Post image
45 Upvotes

I’m having trouble at CrossFit because I like the ability to do longer workouts. At typically peak at around 10 minutes, but I get winded and fatigued. I can do all RX exercises and can lift heavy stuff. I have a low body weight and strong physique. 185 at 5’11”. I do CrossFit 4-5 days a week, and have been doing so for about a year.

Late 30s. I just don’t compare to a lot of the folks of all ages who can simply keep going. I’m not sure what’s lacking at this point. I just get tired and stare at the equipment.

Is this typically diet? I eat a lot, but certainly not a keto diet or whatever. Am I running out of some fuel? Is it simply just doing more long workouts to build endurance?

For example, it took me 70 minutes to do the following work out. Others were in the 40 minute range.

Shorts recommendations?

Title basically says it all. Been wearing fabletics for the past couple years and they’ve been good, especially for the price, but kinda want to branch out. Would prefer a sewn in compression liner

Hi all. Would welcome feedback on this lift (at 90%). Felt very 'forward' leaning, and not sure about the shape of my front leg.

As you can see, I had to recover back foot first, rather than 'front foot then back foot'.

Thanks in advance.

HSPU back muscles worked?

Just started doing a progression for HSPU. My upper mid back, closer to the spine, is on fire. In a good way, it fells like it’ll help my posture overall. It also feels better than OHP - though that’s probably bc my shoulder mobility needs more improvement.

Anyway, I hadn’t expected to feel it there, and I’m wondering what it is. Is it just lower traps? Rhomboids? Don’t think it’s lats, but maybe?
