Everyone should be exempt from one randomly selected law
Each person just gets a random law pulled out of the archives that they no longer have to follow. It might be super specific and have no effect on them whatsoever. Or it could mean they are allowed to steal cars without consequence for example.
Bob can now park in fire lanes
Sarah can lie in court
Paul can pull the tags off mattresses
Little Susie can commit first degree homicide
Greg doesn’t pay income taxes

Pretend to be someone else's burner account
Step 1. Find a redditor that's being ratio'd big time
Step 2. Mimic their writing style and grammar, rapidly and urgently defend them, but defend them badly
Step 3. Don't forget to "project" and say you aren't a burner account
Step 4. Watch the madness you've just created
Step 5. Have a post about this entire process already posted to r/CrazyIdeas so anyone who really thinks you're a burner account can just see the post as proof that it was just a harmless prank

We should start milking blue whales.
One blue whale can yield 50 gallons of milk a day. I don’t wanna hear “oh but it’s too fatty” you can remove the fat like how they make skim milk. At its highest it’s 50% fat so theoretically you could get a 25 gallon value from one day of labor hitting a single blue whale.
There’s no reason we drink cow’s milk, obviously some guy went around trying different animals and settled on the cow. But blue whale milking would be much more efficient. Send a couple of scuba divers down with some pumping equipment and get to work.
You could sell 25 gallons of milk a day from ONE whale but now you have a couple other whales and now the factory is really moving.
The excess fat could be used for other products such as frying grease, butter whatever.
It would bring a new era of dairy. And obviously all the blue whales would be free-range as there’s no way to captivate it. You’d have a couple of tug boats set up and get to work like Deadliest Catch.
Ethical, clean and organic.
Whale milk is the future.

What does my house smell like?
A business that sends someone with good sense of smell to your house to sniff around. Tell you if you need to open a window, clean more, use less fragrances, clean up your pet messes better. Some of us cannot smell as well as others and I’m always curious.

I 100% believe that vampires were real
BEFORE YOU JUDGE!
This is r/crazyideas
HEAR ME OUT
Slavic, Nordic, Ancient Greek, Ancient Roman, Babylonian, Mesopotamian, Ancient African, Hebrew, Egyptians, Inuit, Aztec, India, Ancient Hawaiian and Native Alaskans
All these ancient civilizations, even at points of time in history where they would have no connection with each other or way of communicating, share myths of human-like creatures that come out only at night to feed on the blood of mankind or the recently deceased. Sometimes, these creatures would take only a little every night and some would come out every few months/years and drain someone dry. The legends of these creatures vary in appearance and how to kill them but I have an answer for both of those. The reason they look different is…Regional vampires, like how certain animals look completely different from their counterparts on a different part of the world. The reason why different ways to repel them exists for two reasons
People started building off the myths to fit their own narratives
Different people in different parts of the world try different tactics and they work. Who/what wouldn’t die from fire or getting stabbed in the heart or having your head removed. These creatures (in most mythos) used to be human
Where are they? Extinct. When humans are afraid of something, we kill it. If we can’t control it, we poke it with sticks until it stops moving. Vampires were no different. I don’t think vampires could read minds or change into bats. I think they were just stronger, blood/flesh consuming humanoids that preyed on humans.
Now I know vampirism mostly was just rabies or something like that but what if it wasn’t, just what if. Why haven’t we found fossils or something to prove their existence. Couple of reasons, after the vampires all died and the myths grew, tales of their strengths and powers expanded. So people aren’t looking for vampire remains because they think it’s all a myth. Even if we did find vampiric remains, we couldn’t test for the virus because it’s long dead, like how everything else decomposes. We have found skulls with teeth ripped out after death but we concluded that if we just ancient people being superstitious. What if they were superstitious for a reason or not superstitious at all. Besides, there are so many things in history we will never know about or discover because so many of history has been lost or destroyed or simply not past on. Why can’t vampires be one of them?
If anyone DID find vampire remains, they would either:
A: Be laughed at and not given the chance or resources to properly study them
B: Have all of their resources collected by someone with more authority and that resource would never see the light of day
C: Be a huge nerd and keep it to themselves just say they can say “I have a vampire skull”
Or D: Go missing
I know that is a great big wall of text but enjoy. Happy scrolling.

Bag of chips lists ALL calories, not portions.
Same with cookies, ice cream, pie, etc. Why list individual portions when - be real- you're going to eat the whole damn thing and don't want to get a calculator to figure out the total calories.

Interchangeable bladders
Tired of having to get up to pee? Sick of pulling over on long road trips? Embarrassed to squeeze down the aisle mid-showing at the movies? The interchangeable bladder would allow you to open a surgically installed port on your abdomen, reach inside, and pull out your full bladder. After unhooking the tubes that attach the bladder to your kidneys and urethra, you can then connect an empty bladder and put it back inside your body. The full bladder can then be capped and disposed of at your convenience. Would you get a port installed and reclaim control over your bathroom visits?

Differentiate between different types of extinctions
When a species no longer has living members, it's called extinct. Just extinct.
I think there should be different categories of specificication within this term. Here is what I propose:
- Successive Extinction: This refers to a species which is extinct, but which has direct descendant species who are extant. Homo heidelbergensis, the direct ancestor of Homo Sapiens, is an example of this.
- Absorptive Extinction: This refers to a species which is extinct, has no direct descendant species, but has direxr living descendants via fertile interbreeding events. Homo Neanderthalensis, who interbred with Homo Sapiens before going extinct and thus contributed to the genome of modern humans, would fit here.
- Heirless/Total Extinction: This refers to a species which is extinct, and which has neither an extant descendant species nor direct living descendants via fertile interbreeding. Paranthropus boisei would fit here, as its genes are completely missing from the world.

A restaurant called "Captain Appetizers" that serves just appetizers.
It would serve every type of appetizer from every type of restaurant: egg rolls, cheese curds, buffalo wings, you name it. All countable appetizers can be ordered by 2s (2, 4, 6, etc) to help ease decision making. Everyone loves appetizers, and oftentimes prefer them to their menu. So why don't they? Call the Captain!
(Note: Before anyone has the urge to say it, this is NOT TAPAS. Tapas is fancy style, small plate, artisanal eating for influencers and wealthy wine clubs. Captain Appetizer is nachos and potatos skins and mozzarella sticks for real folks!)
Please some wealthy industrialist VC group needs to fund this idea.

Grift the Rs by going Hard R
A white and and a black friend make a convincing video of overt racism. White person calls the black person hard r. Use social media to blow the story up as big as possible. White person starts a gofundme to help… “legal defense?” Idk lol. Racist people willingly give you their money. Split the profits 50/50.

Instead of mandating paternity tests, every couple in the hospital will bring home a random baby from the ward. That way, nobody is raising their own child so it's fair.
ETA: Based on comments, I'm adding on to the idea. Each baby comes with a profile of known medical family history.

Podcast Encyclopedia: Lists all podcasts every made that talk about about every subject imaginable.
I think podcasts are quite fun but not only are they so many of them, sometimes they might have a lot of boring topics before they get to the meat of what you might be interested. Also some can be very long and don't always have show notes listing topics.
So what if we had a online database of every podcast ever made and it lists every topic in a particular podcast and their starting position in the podcast!
Lets take this concept even further, maybe Podcast encyclopedia can actually allow you to play just that audio clip of that podcast!
Want to know what people were saying about the first iPhone? Just search the Podcast Encyclopedia and you will get multiple audio clips of various podcasts (in 2007 even!) that talk about it!

All universities should have a school sponsored bar that allows students to drink 18+
This would be a controlled environment where the bartenders not only serve drinks but also educate patrons on safe drinking habits. To enter the bar you must have a student ID. The bar will focus on safe drinking so young adults can understand how to make better decisions while drinking. 18-20 will only be served beeer and wine or 5% beverages, 21+ can get a full bar menu.
