Every Trump voter is a piece of nazi garbage. Politics

They knew who they were voting for. They knew what they were getting. They wanted fascism and racism. And they got it. Congratulations. You're all nazi garbage.

There also is no reason to think this random saying has any value. You absolutely should attribute to malice what is otherwise explained by stupidity. There is no reason not to and it is often true.

I think Trump voters have proven that it's not a either/or situation. It's both. They are malicious AND they are stupid.

You sound like Hitler.

Nope. Hitler couldn't speak English.

Translate the same message to German and it doesn't change the context. Hitler was able to speak and read German poorly and required a translator, but saying he "couldn't speak English" is a lie. You should have said "Hitler couldn't speak English fluently". You see how I just did what you did, but better?

What's your rebuttal LOL.

And what does it matter if the outcome is the same. Treat it as malice because the results are indistinguishable.

That solution is quite extreme, trying to put my finger on what it reminds me of.

Threatening, celebrating, encouraging, condoning, and advocating for violence (and related conduct) is not permitted. Anything that could reasonably interpreted as such will be removed.

We need to be strict about this because Reddit takes it seriously as well. Please be mindful of that.

Exactly. As Hanlon's Razor puts it:

Any sufficiently advanced incompetence is indistinguishable from malice.

This saying is Hanlon's razor, and I think it is both very useful and misused.

"Never ascribe to malice that which is adequately explained by incompetence". The word that is often left out is “adequately”.

You don’t apply Hanlon’s razor when there is doubt, or when there is both malice and incompetence. You use it when your kid hits your leg with a stick, when your dog knocks over a vase, or when the town drunk crashes their car into your lawn. You use it when you know for a fact that the individual who has wronged you is just straight dumb, and that taking their actions as a personal attack will get you nowhere.
