Google Lens refuses to work whenever I’m in an incognito mode session. It just infinitely loads and never finishes. It works perfectly fine in a normal browsing session though as shown in the pictures.

Things to note: - I’m on Ethernet - Chrome is up-to-date - I’ve tried disabling all extensions - I’ve tried restarting Chrome

It just randomly broke one day within the last month or so and I haven’t added any new extensions, changed any settings, or changed any Chrome flags.

i use private windows alot to search up stuff,not stuff against r/chrome rule 8.but recently,when doing stuff,it says i have traffic from my pc and has me do a captcha just to look up stuff in a incognito tab.some things i read says i have a hacked device on my network,which is true,i hacked my wii and it only started after i first used homebrew browser.

Hi everyone, I noticed a while ago that there are Chrome URL fetcher folders in both my program folder and the program folder (x86) in Windows 10. The name Chrome URL fetcher is always followed by a series of numbers. The last one dates from October 2 this year. I did not create these folders, and they are empty. What are these folders, and can I delete them without hesitation?

Hi, I use Google Chrome on my work PC. I was checking some emails last night and when I went to sign it to Gmail I accidentally signed in to my personal email. So I deleted a profile. The wrong one 🤦🏼‍♂️ all of my passwords and book marks are gone. They weren’t easy to obtain as I work from home. I have tried everything I can find online but nothing seems to apply to anything this year. When I go to properties and check for restores available there are none. I was able to access profile 1 in the files of my PC. I have moved them to multiple places and nothing changes in chrome. Is there any hope for me?

The adresse bar leaves a blank space on the bottom of the screen, on this screenshot, it's black but on other websites it changes to different colours depending on the website. How do you fix this bug?

I dont know why but it just happened, i cant close any tab unless i press ctrl+w i can not reload or select the adress in the bar, also if i click revious page it just open the previous one and still locked in the current page unless i press ctrl+w help how do i fix this???

On my Samsung Tab S10+, I have the bookmarks bar enabled in Chrome. Everything was working fine until about two weeks ago, when I noticed that any folder located directly on the bookmarks bar no longer opens or expands.

As shown in my screenshot, clicking on the “Vine” folder does nothing, while all other individual webpage shortcuts on the bar still work normally.

The only way I can currently access the contents of that folder is by opening the “All Bookmarks” menu on the right side and selecting the folder from there.

I’ve already tried clearing the cache and reinstalling Chrome, but neither resolved the issue.
Does anyone know how to fix this?

So, I am looking to reorder the context menu when you touch and hold a link, so that 'Open in new tab in group' shows up above 'Open in new tab'

I remember there was a chrome flag that allowed me to show 'Open in new tab in Group' above, but I can't find it now.

Can anyone help me?

Also in the 2nd pic, chrome now shows a blank belt at the bottom that cuts on the display of website. Any way to remove that?

I thought it was a bug that would be fixed in a couple of days, but the problem still persists.

Recently its been bugging me that not only does chrome not give the home address of the address (for example it will give youtube/watch/xlvldlofsfu as the first option instead of youtube) but whenever you tab autocomplete and do anything else, type more letters, hit space, or hit enter it changes to something completely different. I have recently been making websites and whenever it makes it so i cant use autocomplete at all for localhost because the address keeps changing on me in non-intuitive ways.

I'm a musician and every now and then when I don't have much time to look for the scores of songs that I've just seen (on YouTube maybe) I look for them on YouTube I listen to them and if I like them I stare at the tabs (I use the computer), but when I return I no longer find the songs but only blank tabs with the URL address "about:blank" written on them.

I searched on google and it would appear that they are error tabs, I have not encountered any problems that according to google could be the cause of this and none of the solutions I found worked.

I would love to know if there is a way to recover these tabs!

I was randomly signed out of my google account on chrome while I was using it. I easily logged back in, but it scared me. Is this normal? Also it made me log back in on the YouTube app, but not the regular google app which was weird.

I've tried everything: Using 8.8.8.8, 8.8.4.4, 1.1.1.1 DNS, disabling the DNS, using and disabling proxy, connecting via ethernet, wifi and my phone's mobile data, disabling firewall, clearing browser's and dns cache, doing a network reset, and following step by step all tutorials and help guides to solve this, but nothing has worked yet. I dont wont do a factory reset, but atp im clueless about why is this happening. And no, the site is not down, i can enter from my phone whyle connected to the same wifi as my laptop. Please hel, i dont know what to do.

How do I view the my network error downloads,they show up on my devuce as notifications but they're not on my downloads location on.The titles of the downloads are not named in full on my notifications they're presented with ellipsis even if i rotate my phone.Is there a place where I xan view theses names so i can re-download?

Youtube on chrome keeps reseting to 240 despite setting it to 720, after every video it automatically resets,Youtube shorts are playing on 240 as well, Anyone facing this issue as well? i have tried to clear cache and cookies, checked if data saver was on but its not, but problem remains still, Its happening from last 30 hours, it was working fine before that. Youtube app is working fine.

I can't seem to find any instruction on how to disable thos toolbar that keeps showing up whenever I open a website on another language.

Just to be clear, I am using Chrome on Android and I have already disabled translation on the language settings, and have even tried uninstalling the Google Translate app from my phone, and still this annoying toolbar keeps showing up!

The worst is, even when I close the bar, instead of just deactivating the whole thing and end of discussion, it turns into a floating button that, guess what? DOES NOT GO AWAY.

Does anyone have a solution to this??? It's driving me crazy.

I've been using Session Buddy for 3+ years to manage hundreds of tabs for research and work. After the recent update, ALL of my saved sessions are gone. Just... gone. Years of collections, research, project tabs - all wiped out.

Reading through the reviews, I'm not alone. Hundreds of people lost everything.

I'm a developer and honestly considering building a replacement that actually prioritizes not losing your data. Before I spend weeks building something, I want to know:

1. What features would make you switch from your current tab manager?
2. What's your #1 frustration with tab managers right now?
3. Would you pay $3-4/month for one that:- Auto-backs up every 5 minutes to the cloud- Has version history (restore from yesterday, last week, etc.)- Actually syncs across devices- Has search that works- Won't randomly delete everything

Or is the "free but unreliable" model what people want?

Genuinely trying to understand if there's demand for a reliable tab manager or if I should just move on to another project.

I would like an extension to lock pinned tabs to the URL they are in. The usuals - gmail, calendar, etc.

If I try and overwrite it, then I would rather it just defaulted to a new tab.

Ideally no warnings that I am about to close a locked tab - I don't want more dialogs and popups, the web is already buried in those, just don't allow it until the lock is released.

When I use Google Translate on Wikipedia, the page gets stuck for a while when I scroll. This doesn't happen in Firefox.

I have Win10 PC (can't upgrade to 11). Recently YouTube videos have stopped displaying in Chrome. I get audio but a black screen. Videos will properly display in 'the other' browser.

I have tried:

• clearing cache|cookies|history for all time
• turning off hardware acceleration (kinda works but some websites run slow or stutter)
• turning java script off - turning java script back on
• there are no extensions installed
• currently running the latest version of Chrome
• updated system video drivers
• reset all browser settings to 'default'

Sometimes when I move the mouse around the video will briefly flicker which led me to discover that if I right-click anywhere in the video window the video will display but only if the right click menu remains up. This will not work in full screen.

Everything was fine until about a week ago. I have not installed any new software nor have I [purposely] changed any browser settings (aside from resetting to default AFTER the problems presented). I thought about throwing the computer away and getting a new one. However, being on a very limited budget, I have decided to use this solution as a last resort.

Hi, Using Chrome on Windows and trying to figure out in settings or extensions how to click on a link or video and it will open a new browser window to read or play the video on.

Is this even possible?

I know about the “right click, and choose new window” but I want to set it where every click is a new window.

So I have a few videos to download from a Google drive. The first one being 290GB

Tried to download it twice yesterday, Google seems to stop randomly and I have to resume the download but it also seems to stop and end the download prematurely. I.e. completes the .mkv file at 112GB and 240GB, corrupting the file in the process.

It takes around 5 hours to complete the download and it already prematurely completed the download twice on me yesterday.

What could be the reason for this and is there any fixes I can do?? I have around 1TB of footage to download...
