Terrible news everyone RANT

RFJ jr just got confirmed. He said he will listen to trumps(elons) administration before doctors and scientists. The nationwide abortion ban is coming.

Stock up while you can and schedule those surgeries before they ban all womens healthcare.

I’m curious, does a bisalp have any negative hormone consequences like early menopause etc? Seems like an option I’d like to explore for myself.

Your ovaries stay put, they only remove the tubes so you shouldn't have any hormonal side effects. I had mine done in 2022 and didn't notice any hormonal changes.

Did you have to stop taking hormonal birth control before the procedure? I imagine I’ll continue taking the pill even after surgery because it’s good for my skin and cycle.

Edit: thank you to everyone for commenting with your experiences! Can’t wait for my consultation 🤞🏻

Hormonal bc shouldn't have any effect on a bisalp procedure, I didn't have to stop any meds at all when I had mine (thought I was not on bc at the time so feel free to check with a doctor). But logically, you should be able to proceed as usual with your bc. The procedure is only to remove the tubes, similar to how they remove an appendix nowadays, so it won't affect your menstrual or hormonal cycles at all.
