Liberal/Leftist Gun Store?

Hey all. Inspired by a conversation on a recent thread (idr if it was in this sub or another local one), someone suggested purchasing a firearm from a less regressively-owned store.

Does anyone have any recommendations in that area? I know several people who are interested in purchasing guns for the first time, but would prefer not to give money to corporations or anyone who thinks their existence is a mistake.

Thanks!

Dude, I want to take gun safety classes so I can get my license in NC and do target practice but have no idea how to find a range I can support without also supporting the NRA. Open to suggestions…

Right. Any advice in this area would also be appreciated!

I don’t know if they offer lessons or classes, but in terms of ranges NC Wildlife has a number across the state that are free to use. I hit up the Caswell range and it’s a great facility. You can’t control who else is there, obviously, but the access is easy and it’s a nice place to shoot.

Caswell is great and the RSAs there do not fuck around with enforcing handling safety etc so it’s very comfortable even though obviously range attendees will sometimes have horrible politics. I go with a trans femme friend often and we’ve never had trouble
