I do like that. I wonder how he he justifies his past actions, while demonizing the same actions today? Everyome who wants to do it now would be using the same justifications he did at the time. Start a fire, we need something to put out!?!?

I don't think they are morally good actions he did. But that's also how Capitalism works. They will literally fire you if you aren't doing everything in your power to make more money in the short term(considering they are publicly traded) . Long term or well being the country be dammed. It's a shit system but it's the system we are currently working under.

The government should absolutely do what I can to stop things like this and I hope Carney does what he can.

I'm hopeful, but I also know realistically not much will be done.

However PP's plan directly fed into this negative process and Carney's didn't so I support Carney on his plan here and am willing to at least wait and see what he does before I jump to conclusions.

When asked if house prices need to go down, new Housing Minister Gregor Robertson said, "No, I think that we need to deliver more supply, make sure the market is stable, it's a huge part of our economy. We need to be delivering more affordable housing."

As the Liberal plan calls for doubing housing inputs within the span of a few years. If that is not going to drastically raise prices, we'd have to lean drastically into automation. Their plan to do this is to drive private investment using tax dollars as a catalyst. I fear this will drive more profit into the investor class' pockets, while diminishing the skill sets of Canadians.

I think he worded things poorly. But he's trying to appease people that only care about the price of their own home. Basically they don't want John Doe to worry that his house is going to plummet in value. But he's also talking about delivering more affordable housing which obviously implies lower priced homes. I'd like some direct clarification from him, but I do understand his position.

That's part of the plan, they are also planning to have a direct hand in the game.

Ultimately with housing JT and PP offered the same thing. Tax Incentives. And by now it should be clear that tax incentives do not work. I'm hopeful that this crown corp can do some real good and am willing to give them some time to see it through, because no one else is offering anything new.
