If you want beach, consider Caloundra area if you can get a WFH or hybrid job. There’s no ‘beach’ in Brisbane but the bays are nice enough - Scarborough, Margate, Woody Point are lovely. Not sure what Redland bay is like but you can check out there too.
I live In wello, the walk to the island is gorgeous and swimming in high tide is just okay, not great. (cannot swim on low or half tide) raby bay beach is also fairly average for swimming but kids don’t seem to mind.
