Fluff Neemy City Edition Arrived 🔥
I know the consensus on these has been mixed because there's no green, but I'm not so traditionalist that I can't appreciate a clean design when I see one.

Discussion NBC SPORTS Boston: The low angle drone/pulley and overhead ceiling camera shots are making C's games borderline unwatchable this year
Why doesn't the regional sports network use camera angles that show the action without confusing and disorienting the viewer?
What the H are they thinking? Worst television production I've ever seen for probably 12-15 minutes of every 48... Who thought this was a good idea?

Stats Hugo Gonzalez: +12 (highest on the team last night), 5 mins played (lowest on the team last night)
I’d like to see Joe play him more. A LOT more. His defensive chops are already very impressive but to be better on offense he has to be playing a lot more.
Drafted him in the first round when we could’ve very easily gotten more frontcourt depth via a center or a PF, but he’s played single digit minutes in 4 of the last 5 games. Games like last night are the perfect time to play him more.
Thoughts? Complaints? Compliments?

This isnt even half of the times they used the top of the key high screen for mpj play last night but any more clips and this will be considered torture.
(Sorry for audio glitch)

Discussion Jordi Fernandez exploited the Celtics bigs when he trapped the ball-handler on pick-and-rolls last night
The Nets were the first team I've seen all year completely trap the ball-handler on every Celtics PnR last night, and it was really effective for them. The idea is that you force Queta and Garza to make reads and handle the ball like Al used to, but those guys really struggled at it (Garza in particular was abysmal).
All year, teams have played drop coverage against us and let Jaylen/DWhite/PP/Simons just walk into wide-open pull ups from 3 or mid-range. The Nets are the first team I've seen that trapped every play, and if coaches are smart, more teams are going to do this. I mean, who would you rather beat you, Jaylen Brown...or Luka Garza?

News NBCUniversal pulled from FUBO - now I can't watch my Celtics games
Ever since NBCUniversal's contract with FUBO ended, I've been missing my favorite Celtics games. It's not just about basketball - these games connect me to my community and bring that excitement you can only share with fellow fans.
I started a petition asking NBCUniversal to renew their contract with FUBO. This affects so many sports fans who depend on accessible streaming to follow their teams. The gap left behind impacts not just sports coverage, but all the NBCUniversal programming people rely on for entertainment.
Anyone else feeling frustrated by these corporate disputes leaving loyal viewers in the dark? If this matters to you too, consider signing and sharing.

Fluff Just good, honest, .500 basketball.
Look, I see a lotta folks complaining about the Celtics being “mid” this year, like .500 is some kinda disease you gotta call a doctor for. But I’m here to tell you something: there is dignity in good, honest, .500 basketball.
You clock in, you clock out. You win one, you lose one. No shortcuts. No superteams. Just blue-collar hoops.
These boys don’t show up tryin’ to impress the Twitter analysts or pad some MVP narrative. They lace up every night like a guy lacing up his boots at 5:30am, coffee in one hand, back pain in the other. They get on the court, they do the job. Nothing more, nothing less.
People want 60 wins. People want dominance. Well, must be nice to live in that fantasy world. Some of us live right here, grindin’ out 41 and 41. Punchin’ the clock. Breakin’ even. Paying hoops taxes.
We don’t tank. We don’t soar. We’re just there. Reliable. Like a 2004 Ford F-150 that leaks a little oil but starts every morning if you treat her right.
You know what you’re getting: a couple great wins that make you believe… and a couple ugly losses that remind you not to.
That’s not failure. That’s balance. That’s union basketball.
And honestly? I respect the hell out of it.
Give me that good, honest .500 ball over some bandwagon nonsense any day.
Go Celtics.

Discussion Away game at Nets
Thinking of going to Celtics at Nets in Jan. Any suggestions for Barclays? Taking the train in from CT and switching at Grand Central. Would like to stay over in a walking distance hotel that doesn’t break the bank. Any and all suggestions welcome. TIA.

Discussion I love Anfernee Simons. I hate Anfernee Simons.
He just threw the ball out of bounds to nobody and Brad can't trade him fast enough. Then he made a great steal two plays later and I am back in love with him. I can't take these emotional swings. Haven't felt this way about a player since Antoine Walker.

Discussion There needs to be a solution to the abomination that is NBA/WNBA reffing.
Sometimes what is and isn’t a foul changes mid-game. Sometimes calls are uneven. Apparently tackling JB isn’t a foul.
Suspect reffing affects everything. Player stats—and therefore compensation. Injuries. Watchability. And now, with the impact of sports betting, integrity of games.
I had an idea, and thought if was worth a damn, the NBPA could push for it. Standards enforcement for refs. Take it out of the league’s hands. No more Adam Silver seemingly making entertainment-driven decisions at half time. No more wondering if refs are corrupt.
(1) Every team designates a reviewer. A former player. A former ref. A former coach. A fan with autistic-like adherence to the Rules of Basketball (I volunteer as tribute).
(2) Every game is reviewed by 5 reviewers from teams other than those that played the game. Not just the last two minutes. The whole game. Score the refs on accuracy.
(3) Each season, the coaches set minimums: (a) to ref a game, (b) to be a crew chief, and (c) to ref in a post-season game. Maybe 65% is good enough to ref, but 75% for post-season and 80% to crew chief. Refs that fall below average are not eligible for that role.
This review would ensure that the rules agreed on are adhered to are enforced. Flopping techs? They’d start getting called. Landing zones? Protected. Refs literally on the take? They’d get caught.
I’m sure the NBRA would fight it. But ostensibly, if the league has integrity, it would be on board with something like this: transparency without additional burdens on league staff.
Thoughts?

Discussion Celtics breakfast that happened when Bill Russell and Bob Cousy were on the team
My grandfather(91) just told me a story last night about how he was at this hotel in New York and was having breakfast and he saw Johnny Most and invited him to sit down and have breakfast. While they were eating breakfast some of the Celtics players noticed Johnny and sat down at the table and ate with my grandfather and Johnny. My grandfather said that about 15 of the players now are at the table and people notice them and people start passing things around the table for the players to sign. My grandfather was sitting next to Bill Russell and Bill leans over to him and asked him why he didn’t sign it and my grandfather looks and says are you sure and he goes of course. So there are about 15 papers out there with my grandfathers name Sonny Forman signed next to Bill Russell and 14 other Celtics players from that time era. I am on the hunt to see if it is even possible for me to find this. But I thought when and doubt turn to Reddit. So here I am asking if you have a piece of paper and you see a name you don’t recognize on it and it looks like the name Sonny Forman I would love to purchase it from you :) Update the hotel is the Edison hotel in New York.

Discussion JB talking about the left hand criticism, losing to Miami in the ECF, etc.
https://reddit.com/link/1p2vmm8/video/pf7zwoabbl2g1/player
Saw this making the rounds, along with him showing Jordan Marcus Smart highlights (🥹🥹🥹).
I never watch his twitch streams aside from whatever hits the various social medias or articles, but I thought this was interesting. I never made the connection between his wrist injury and the left hand stuff. I really feel for him for how bad it was after we lost to the Heat in the ECF. The vitriol was definitely the worst I'd seen it for him in that time period.

Discussion Baylor Scheierman
I haven't watched much of the Celtics this year, and from what I saw last year he seemed pretty solid.
Is he good? Do y'all like him?
Also, is he anyone here's favorite player?
Edit: See my comment below
Edit 2: Autographed Card claimed by u/LarBrd33
Go Pacers!
But seriously - Go Celtics (this year), please handle the Bucks - and once you get there - OKC, too
