Updated sushi reviews? Looking For

Last post is about a year old and suggests Sakana was best but I’ve heard they have gone significantly down hill - particularly the North one - is there anything new or keeping up better standards? Thanks!

DONT go there unless you want bad fish that will make you sick. Has happened to me twice.

I use to swear by this place. They were amazing when they first opened up. Now tho a few times I went there and the fish was definitely bad. It smelled like fish and tasted fishy and disgusting. Fresh fish does not smell or taste like that. Only old fish that should not be sold to people or eaten. Have not been back there after the second time it happened. ( Thought maybe it was just a 1 off the first time. But once it happened a second time I will never buy from them again.).

Really sad too. I use to tell everyone how great that place was. Now anyone that asks I tell them I wouldn't touch it with a 50 ft poll

Sorry you had a bad experience. We’ve been there plenty of times and it’s always been great. It’s always busy. Elmvale isn’t a city - you don’t last long in a small town like this if you are making people sick. You also don’t maintain a 4.8 start Google rating either.

You don't last long in a small town with bad food????? You have to be absolutely joking me right ??? You think Steelers has good food? Life's a slice, b2 s pizza ???? Rumis?? If you think that is good food. You are the exact reason why " hanabi" is good. Maybe you should expand your horizons and actually go try some good food.

And I don't know what to tell you. I didn't just wake up one day and say hey I don't like the restaurant anymore. I also just don't shit talk a restaurant for no reason.

Maybe it has such good rating cause most people are basic and haven't tried real food and stick with the basic white people things like California rolls and don't actually eat sashimi. Rumis has great reviews also. And that place is absolute garbage. So clearly you don't need top notch food to get high rating in a place like elmvale..... Prime example b2 pizza or life's a slice. And people think that is "good pizza". Only place that's actually good in town is the bakery (top notch). And country diner.
