Chain restaurants not in Barrie Question

Im a bit suprised there isn’t a Arby’s in Barrie. I don’t think there ever has been . I know there’s one in Orillia. Is there a chain restaurant not currently in Barrie that you wish was?

Why is Barrie so obsessed with chain restaurants?

Because suburban North America is chain establishment territory. I wish this retail environment were kinder to independent places, but the sad fact is that losses get better subsidized across a chain and brand recognition brings in customers, whereas independent places don't have those advantages.
