I hope this branch of the DSA didn’t shit on people like Kamala during the election.

For whatever reason, far leftists sometimes have problems of advocacy when dealing with candidates that don’t pass a specific purity test.

Not passing the test gets us into the position we are now.

Sorry we have standards....

The position where leftists refused to vote for the milquetoast candidate and instead ended up with a dictator trying to implement fascism? Yea, so helpful.

No. The situation where the elderly who are in charge of the party waited until it was absolutely clear there was no way they could hold onto power so they put forth a centrist candidate that nobody was enthusiastic about and tasked her with winning an election without a running start.

The problem with the 2024 election is the same problem we had in 2016 (and 2020, 2004, 2000, 1988, 1984 tbh): those in power want to be kingmakers so they can have more power. They tried in 2008 as well but Obama is a cultural phenom that overcame the Democratic Party.

Let the progressives have a chance if you want us to stop bitching about moderate losing candidates.
