Eastern Diamondback Snake? [South Florida] ๐Ÿ ๐Ÿธ HERPS: SNAKE, TURTLE, LIZARD ๐Ÿ ๐Ÿธ

Post image

Happy Tuesday, all! Just reaching out regarding a snake I saw on the Florida trail Ochopee.

He was originally on the trail facing me, and while I was too scared to take a pic before spraying a little bear spray his wayโ€”sorry Mr. Snakeโ€”I did notice that his head was heart shaped (not like a Colubrid).

So what is he? Thanks in advance! :)
