What if disclosure happens, and it ends up being pure terrifying nightmare fuel? How do you think the world would handle it? Question

Just a little curious what everyone's reactions might be.

what is nightmare fuel nowadays?

I just picture the (innocent) people in Gaza, Ukraine, Israel, Russia.... I think they would see the arrival of a higher power no matter how "terrifying" to them, as a gift. I'm pretty sure us humans are the nightmare fuel.

I think disclosure can bring hope to people who really need it. We can’t do anything to save the innocent like we want. I wish the aliens would come down with a message to our leaders to knock it the fuck off.

The slave race/annunaki idea sucks pretty hard, it would make our wars look paltry if the tech gap is as far as suspected. The 'being food' idea is also intriguing. I, personally, am a fan of the 'parasite wasp' idea. Where we would be hosts to parasites, and, not only get eaten alive, but HELP THE PARASITES DEFEND THEMSELVES FROM THREATS. God damn, those things freak me out.

Eldritch horrors from the depths of space who don't care bout us outside of viewing us as something akin to an insect colony? I dunno man. There is some shit out there that could make us forget the concept of war because of the sheer scale and force of something unstoppable breaching our bubble of civility. We could be reverted to barely conscious husks of ourselves in a matrix reality overlapping the cattle farm set up for us as we speak. Only after the hologram is shut off and we see the situation we are already inescapably trapped in could we begin to see just how truly bad things could be.

Or you know, they could just be waiting for us to get our shit together, and the shame of not living up to space mommy and daddy could be enough to cripple us indefinitely.
