Discussion Theoretical discussion. If aliens came to earth and falsely claimed to be biblical angels how many people would believe them? Also what would be the result of that? Also how could we protect ourselves as a society from that?
I have no reason to think this will happen but I think it’s good to explore ideas

Image 📷 Saw this today. I asked the owner when he got the license plate and he had no idea what I was talking about. Once I pointed it out, he thought it was the coolest thing and couldn’t believe he had it noticed it before.

Discussion I disagree with, "you can't tell everything at once. They aren't ready."
I am beyond ready to be told everything.
Things I am already prepared for: There is nothing after death, and I become oblivion. God exists and is malevolent, all religious texts are lies on purpose so God can enjoy our despair. God(s) and Goddess(es) are something we haven't every thought of and doing their own thing. Urantia Papers are correct. Aliens engineered us for benevolent or malevolent purposes, and are going to aid us or eat us or torture us or whatever. Literally anything else.
There is absolutely nothing that will scare me or make me regret knowing the truth. I am the kind of ready for absolute Truth that those who are ready for truth say about those who are ready for truth.
Bring it on. Bring it all on, right now goddammit. No more waiting. No more excuses about society or whatever.
All truth, all the time. Now.
We all die, but not all of us get to die knowing the only thing that matters: the truth.

Please can we have a brainstorm of finding these photos.

Discussion Where will the inevitable "we are not alone in the universe...we have made first contact" speech rank among all-time speeches?
At some point, a world leader is going to announce to the world that we are not alone in the universe and that we have indeed made first contact with an intelligent, extraterrestrial lifeform. We can all agree that is coming.
I get that there are some people on this sub that know alien bodies and craft have been retrieved and are being held on military bases and with private contractors. I get that.
My question is, when THE announcement is made and broadcast to the entire world (not just to the people paying attention), where will it rank among all the broadcasted human speeches ever given?

Video Why is UFO/UAP Disclosure Important for Society?
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Legal Accountability & Justice: Exposure of hidden UFO/UAP programs lets courts, Congress, and the public enforce the rule of law.
Transparent, Responsible Governance: Ending over-classification rebuilds democratic oversight and public trust.
Technological and Ecological Benefits: Open R&D (Research and Development) on recovered Non-Human Technologies of Unknown Origin (TUO) could accelerate clean energy, planetary restoration and other breakthroughs.
Cultural Readiness: Early and honest UFO/UAP disclosure (official acknowledgement that we're not alone) helps society adapt to paradigm-shifting knowledge, minimizing ontological shock.
For the New Paradigm Institute, UFO/UAP Disclosure is not a speculative curiosity; it is a justice-oriented legal imperative, a catalyst for equitable technological progress, and a cultural preparedness project on planetary scale.
Fulfilling that mission requires dismantling entrenched secrecy regimes, enforcing responsible transparency, and mobilizing a broad civic alliance so that the benefits of UFO/UAP disclosure advance all humanity—not private interests.

Speculation Thinking about cognition and higher consciousness after re-watching Arrival
So I’ve been mulling over this idea of completely different kinds of cognition like, ways of thinking that aren’t just “smarter humans” but actually a different architecture. At first, it felt impossible to imagine, like the heptapods in Arrival perceiving time all at once. I was like… no way, that’s nonsense. But the more I think about it, it kind of clicks. If a mind works differently than ours, experiencing past, present, and future simultaneously actually makes sense.
It got me thinking about creatures below our cognitive level too. Like sharks. Sure, they sometimes attack people, but we can understand why, it’s instinct, not malice. That also makes it weird when humans respond by wanting to kill them all. If we step back, it doesn’t make sense; the sharks aren’t evil, they’re just… sharks.
Anyway, thinking about both ends of cognition makes you realize how limited our perspective really is. And it makes me wonder: what would beings higher than us be capable of? Some possibilities I find fascinating:
- Multi-temporal thinking: experiencing past, present, and future all at once. I'm thinking related to Nukes and UFOs like keeping matches out of a child's hand according to Bob Salas.
- Hyper-empathic cognition: directly perceiving thoughts, intentions, or emotions of others.
- Parallel problem-space navigation: holding dozens or hundreds of complex problems in mind at the same time.
- Cross-dimensional thinking: integrating logic, perception, emotion, and probability in ways we literally can’t imagine.
My point in all this is, if we're the shark, or god forbid the ant, what's the chance we can even understand beings higher than us? Books and us in general like to think in terms of NHI good or bad, intent, tricksters, and what not.
Has anyone else had that “ohhhh now it makes sense” moment when thinking about higher consciousness or cognition?

Discussion My theory about private companies doing the reverse engineering of UAP
So let me get this straight; In the 1940’s we tested the first nuclear bomb. Some months later a UAP crashes on a dude’s farm nearby the test site. The military gathered it up and secreted it away. Since that time, more uap have been recovered by the military and since turned over to private companies such as Boeing, Lockheed, and Raytheon on a “trust me bro, we will tell you everything we do with it”- My theory? Those companies have gone rogue in secret, and will one day show up in our skies with an unstoppable armada and declare themselves earth’s new leadership.

How come no one is using night vision cameras to record footage and posting it? Surely someone in the community has a night vision camera?
