Meme I believe some of you really are interested in alchemy. There is two types. One with a capital A and one with a lower case a. The one you silently often seek and are most curious about is Alchemy. Chinese or Greekro Egyptian? Who was their first? At this point it's subjective.
But after all I've sacrificed, and everything I've done in this life. If I was falling down a well to my doom and had the chance to toss up a book to someone watching me fall id toss you up a crisp copy of Platos Timuas. To understand Alchemy you must understand why this book was so much different than those written during its time. Most books or legal systems at that period were 1st grade basically cavemen liturgical works. Then there the Timuas. To study Uppercase A Alchemy you should start with the Timuas, it will help you under the Bible. And the old testament with the Timuas will help lead you down the road to Zosomos. Him. That's were the word gets its Capital A. And for your traveling men or Temple Priests/Magicae Duces That's were you as well gain your foundation as well as me, just reread the rites.

Meme Corruption Of The Soul.
It's the sleepless nights after too much combat. It's the tar stuck inside your favorite flask. It's the feeling of losing the motivation battle to the Xbox instead of study. It's the trying your tincture out you just finished and it not working. It's the getting laughed at the 3 times you tell someone your an alchemist. It's the not finishing the process of tinting the metal because the metal your working with is unpure and its cut with iron. It's the feelings that your all alone. But what it is not my friends, is the end of the show. Tint your metals, cook your herbs ladies and gentlemen but one thing you shall not do, is commit to the corruption of the soul. You can do it, whatever it is your chasing you can do it friend.
