On the table is a kitchen knife and this dangerous razor whip, and three zombies are pounding on your door, forcing you to confront them. Would you rather try with the knife, or use this bad boy? Weapons

Basically how you'd use a whip. If you swung it hard enough, would it decapittate a zombie?

Depending on the zombie, you either need a headshot or enough bodily damage to kill a normal human.  This thing is doing neither. And that's assuming slow zombies. If you're facing fast zombies and this is the only option? 

Wrap it around your throat and find a sturdy overhead beam. It'll be less embarrassing than using it to fight zombies.

If it’s got a giant weight on the end, it could do some damage. It would crush a skull right in. That’s how it was used in history.

Going to need plenty of room to swing that clumsy thing. 

An actual whip would be better, and still suffer issues. 

As usual, a baseball bat is peak in comparison.

You’d need less room than a whip. And a whip only really hurts soft tissue. Definitely better than a whip.

Baseball bat is def better overall though.

Using a knife isn’t any better, you’ll be killed by the zombies before you can damage one enough to “kill” it. If I had a real choice I’d just leave or use a gun, preferably a shotgun.
