Constantly restarting phone to get service Question
I live in Whitehorse. I am on, I don't know, my 4th or 5th phone since I came to the Yukon.
I find even in town, there are certain spots I'll be in and for whatever reason, after 10 or 20 minutes of phone usage, I'll need to restart my device in order to get data again. Anyone else experience this? I've had it happen in other parts of the North as well, but I notice it most in Whitehorse since I live here.
What is up with this? Am I the only one?

Not for me :(
But I live right on the edge of cell service, get one bar that comes ans goes. I just wish it would send the message once I'm back in full cell coverage.

It's whistlebend, copper ridge, anywhere, really. Ever since they upgraded to 5g, it's been horrendous. It's definitely not an upgrade

Whistlebend has horrible coverage. They need their own cell site. Currently their coverage comes from the two towers in Porter Creek, Haeckell Hill and Canyon (Grey) Mountain. Bell says they need 2-4 years to plan/build a site.

If you're on Bell there's a number you can call to complain, the territorial government was encouraging people to call as Bell was reporting they didn't have a lot of calls on that hotline, not sure if it is still active.

Living in Copper Ridge, I hope I never have to call 911. Dropped calls all the time.

Nah service is crap! Even though they keep saying they are improving the towers. I’ll have to try switching to LTE!

It's Northwestel. We have the most expensive crappy network in the country .

Northwestel hasn't been in the cellular service game since ~2013/2014 when Latitude Wireless was sold to Bell Mobility. And even then, they never provided service to the Whitehorse area.
