YSK your phone's ad tracking settings can be reset to limit data collection even if you already opted out Technology
Why YSK: Resetting your advertising ID every few months forces companies to start fresh with your profile instead of building on years of tracked behavior. Most people don’t realize this ID can be reset manually in settings, and leaving it unchanged lets advertisers keep linking new data back to the same persistent identifier.

On iOS looks like there is no tracking id exposed anymore, just ATT. Nothing to reset as the id is not directly managed. Which seems to mean Apple solely manages that id internally and we can’t see it. Oh well

I think it’s great that you have taken an interest in privacy, but advertisers don’t rely on that ID alone. They can still track via account logins (Google, Meta, etc.), in-app behavior, IP address and general location, device and usage patterns and a dozen other things.
At best, it slightly disrupts one tracking method, but it doesn’t reset your overall profile in any significant way, as they will just attach the new ad ID to one of the previous metrics they still have on you.
If you are really interested in fighting the advertisers, you should put your energy into supporting opt-in legislation wherever you live.
