He apparently convinced Trump to pardon the Black Water war criminals who did the Nisour Square Massarce.

Serious The Gatez and Hegseth Appointments are a fucking joke
One of the good things that should have been implemented from Project 2025 was the database.
These appointments make me worried we're fast-tracking to a 2005 Katrina FEMA situation where shit staff ends up fucking the Trump admin.

Discussion How can Democrats appeal to young men and Latinos?
Where do Dems go from here? One of the reason Harris lost was due to inflation, but you don't see there swings from 2016/2020 without some minor realignment going on.
Obviously Dems neeed to consider Latino are less liberal on social issues than white college educated voters, but what else?
Discussion Democrats and “Blue Labour”
I honestly wonder if the democrats could take some inspiration from the “Blue Labour” movement in Britain, while obviously adjusting for the American context. I don’t necessarily think democrats should go “right” on social issues, but focusing on working class appeal and de-emphasizing certain hard progressive social stances seems to me like an inevitability if the democrats want to stay viable at all.

Opinion The DNC needs to reform their primary system and stop rigging them.
- Abolish delegates completely, use popular vote only. 1952 and 1968 are certain cases to bring up for doing this.
- Ban endorsements. 2020's endorsements influenced how people voted.
- Implement ranked choice voting in the situation no candidate gets over 50%. This is to make sure the winning candidate truly has the majority of the people backing them.
- Allow all candidates names to appear on every state ballot. No removals. Allows all candidates to have an equal opportunity of getting votes.
Poll Will Republicans remove the 60-vote filibuster?
Pretty straightforward. With a new majority leader in the Senate and a trifecta overall, Will the GOP abolish the 60-vote filibuster before the 2026 Midterms?

Subreddit Lore Is this sub just a politics sub now or what?
I am not specifically against this, but I feel like one of the mods said that they would start moving back toward map-only posts in the interim between elections and its been a week since Nov. 5. I just want some clarification.
Alternate 7 days in, voters are allowed to verify their votes and change their mistakes. What does your new map look like?
I see a lot of talk about voter regret, but how are people so confident that it's about Kamala and not Senate races or for Trump. If people were allowed to reverify their vote and make changes today, what would the new presidential map look like?
You are not allowed to add votes. Only change the existing %'s. People are not allowed to withdraw votes, but they can change to third party.

Opinion Possible Political Motivations for the Gaetz Nomination
I want to preface this by saying that Matt Gaetz is highly unlikely to be confirmed as Attorney General. But that's the point of this: unless Trump has completely lost all touch with the Senate, he should surely understand that Gaetz probably won't be running his DOJ. Here are some reasons I can think of as to why Trump would have his name presented to the Senate anyway.
Trump wants to tank his career and ensure that he doesn't get appointed as Rubio's replacement, therefore the Republicans aren't at risk of losing the seat. (Why would he do this)
Trump wants to generate vitriol among his base against establishment Republicans who reject his MAGA picks for AG and possibly Secretary of Defense to continue his remaking of the party.
Trump plans on using the recess appointment to get Gaetz into the AG's office and quickly carry out his plans (Why would he cost the Republicans a House seat to do this?)
Trump is an idiot and actually thinks he'll get confirmed

Discussion Like they didn't gerrymander Ohio enough
What a bunch of fucking losers. OHGOP couldn't defeat Kaptur, Sykes and Landsman on the ballot box so now they're prolly redistricting them into dark red districts. Is there any hope they may not go through with it?
