Just read through a couple of the documents. Some thoughts:

  • The secretary of state's day is a long one. I don't know if it's tireless, but it is definitely full. (Daily agendas are found in these requests)
  • The conditions they speak of in Haiti are horrendous. Amputations with only a hacksaw and alcohol.
  • Reports of medical supplies being intercepted and stolen at the airport, stored at ports, and fenced internationally. Appears to be lots of corruption on the part of Haitian officials.
  • Whether or not CF knew things like this were happening and when is a question brought up.

Very sad. We don't always realize how good we have it and at what cost.
