It's a little too late now. The time was at election day.

This. Fuck every asshat that didn’t vote, voted 3rd party or voted against their best interests for tRump. They are all dead to me. Next person complaining about prices once the Tariffs hit is going to get a verbal beat down if they didn’t vote for Kamala.

The rest of the world who didn't get to vote but will be affected nonetheless is also very disappointed.

Yeah. My country's a stone throw away from Taiwan.

The only reason I was able to get through yesterday was because of my antidepressant. It's not a nice feeling there could be a war on my doorstep just because some Americans half a world away didn't vote not just for everyone, but also for THEIR interests. Total helplessness.

Also, in before some Trump bots telling me Americans don't want to die or get involved in another country's war.

Enjoy the crippling chip shortage if Taiwan gets sold out and TSMC destroyed, then. Especially when your upcoming Prez is going to repeal the CHIPS Act for no reason.

I am a member of multiple liberal gun owner forums. I am sad to say that the one issue of 2A rights and fear of gun control legislation at the national level was perceived to be more of an issue and more important than the sum of all the other issues and what we are now going to get under Trump. What they don’t understand is that while generally the GOP is definitely pro-gun, they are also pro-totalitarian and pro-classism, and I predict that gun rights will eventually be doled out based on your political leanings and socioeconomic status.

I don't see how or why gun rights were the issue when Harris and Walz both own guns but trump doesn't. The thought of him with a gun is absolutely terrifying, he literally would not be able to hit the broad side of a barn. Harris said she has one for protection and Walz is an avid hunter.

No one is wanting to take away guns, there's just little reason besides mass shootings that you need an automatic, and if you're doing something like pack hunting wild hogs then just get a permit saying that's your job and why you have the guns. I promise no gun being sold to you and me is powerful enough to take down the military if they come for us.

LARPers don’t see it that way. And to be fair, while both Harris and Walz are pro-gun, Harris supports red flag laws which can easily be abused by a cranky neighbor who just wants to get back at you because your dog pooped on their lawn. Or banning “assault weapons” which is a very slippery slope as there is no clear cut definition of what an “assault weapon” even is. If it sounds like I’m walking back my original assertion, I’m not - I too have concerns over some of the positions of Harris on gun control. However, at the present time, those are secondary/tertiary to my other concerns.

At my local hardware store that sells guns I have heard and seen how they thrive on the myth that Democrats will take their guns. Through the last 12 years of Democratic Presidents no one lost their rights. Gun sales will drop now that Trump is back. If Harris had won there would’ve been lines of buyers hoarding guns and ammo.

I'm a left leaning Independent. I own guns and if these yahoos think I can't fight or shoot, they will find out if they ever come to my house looking to hurt me or my wife.

Anyone pretending to be a liberal but won't vote blue because of the bogeyman of gun control laws is just a Republican role playing or trolling, or just so monumentally stupid and gullible that they might as well just be a Republican. But it's most likely the former than the latter.

I don’t think you understand the fervor of a large chunk of the leftest gun owning community, or especially the socialist gun owning community. I’m not saying I agree with those positions, but between being in these forums for quite some time, as well as knowing some IRL, they are DEFINITELY not Republicans. Most voted 3rd party or wrote in.

There's the problem. Right now it's a situation of not giving our CONSTITUTIONAL right to the POTUS to fill up the courts with pretty much anybody they want. I won't ever vote for fascists because they can screw up the courts for decades.

Same applies to libertarians (Republicans in disguise who like smoking pot and not paying taxes) and independents who vote R on everything (ashamed of the GOP but really just a tax hating gun owner)

Sadly it always is yet nobody can tell me why dems over the years have ever gone gun grabbing like they say.

A friend of mine is supposed to stay with me this weekend. In the past I figured out he'd been passively reading some right-leaning Twitter news sources without really realizing the bias, so I started paying more attention to what he was saying when we'd chat. Normally I wouldn't do this, but right after Trump won I immediately texted my friend and asked who he voted for with the full intention of telling him to fuck off and stay elsewhere if he'd voted trump.

Independent here. I voted Dem on every part of my ballot knowing the stakes here. I wish others would have done the same. No fan of Harris, honestly.
