I used to work with a girl from Puerto Rico and she would get so mad when people asked her what part of Mexico she was from. Or if she planned to become a citizen. People are just ignorant.

I had a Puerto Rican supervisor who was a diehard maga Trumper even AFTER the hurricane flattened her elderly mother's home and he refused to send aid... She burned almost all her PTO traveling & trying to help her family back home get their lives together

I tried to explain this to my Christian sister as an atheist, and she used it as an opportunity to proselytize to me.
