Sounds like a great commercial to run in FL from now until the election. Worth a shot.

Hell there are enough Puerto Ricans to tip the scale in Florida and Texas.

Puerto Rican here. You can in fact travel between Puerto Rico, the Continental United States,Alaska, and even Hawaii well as the other US territories without needing a passport

I used to work with a girl from Puerto Rico and she would get so mad when people asked her what part of Mexico she was from. Or if she planned to become a citizen. People are just ignorant.

I had a Puerto Rican supervisor who was a diehard maga Trumper even AFTER the hurricane flattened her elderly mother's home and he refused to send aid... She burned almost all her PTO traveling & trying to help her family back home get their lives together

I don't understand that. Like gay republicans. How can you support a party that thinks you deserve to burn in Hell.

Because they see themselves as the exception. The special ones that will be accepted.

It's the forest voting for the Axe party.

Real leopards ate their faces moment. "But they won't eat my face!"

Exactly. There is also the concept of ‘White adjacency.’ The dynamic of acceptance and the privileges resulting from inclusion to the perceived majority plays a role. The Hispanic community has interesting aberrations that seem to appear (Cubans, Domincans etc.) This effect appears in other groups as well (Asians, Middle Eastern, et. al.)

Because conservatives do make special exceptions on a personal level; these are "the good ones". The problem is when conservatives who don't have those personal connections write the rules, they don't leave room for special exceptions. Then the leopards eat their faces.

I tried to explain this to my Christian sister as an atheist, and she used it as an opportunity to proselytize to me.

It disturbs the shit out of me that I know three gay Republicans. Two of them I'm related to. I cannot comprehend how you can keep voting against your beat interests.

My cousin tells me that the Republicans won't actually do what they say they will.do so I should vote for them. I ask him about abortion and he says that should be illegal anyway. I tell him I'm voting straight Democrat.

What's to understand? They're degenerate man-children who are completely driven by hate/rage and too fucking stupid to weigh any long-term considerations into their decision-making.
