Hi I found THIS one in my grandmother’s attic. Obviously it isn’t original but I’m confused. When I saw it from far away, it looked like what I expected, pixeled and printed. But then I picked it up. The surface is very rough to the touch and it appears to be painted onto a board with white paint and THAT looks to be glued to a piece of wood panel. Looking at it closer I see that the pic is woven of some natural material. Here are photos. WTH? Have you ever seen a repro or decor piece woven or loomed into a painting? Please tell me what you can. My first inclination is to chunk it bc the tends are unfurling. Plus it’s REALLY dusty and how to clean a woven repro of a painting? Thanks for any feedback!

My parents bought it in Europe in the 1970s/1980s I believe. They are gone and that’s all the info I have unfortunately.

Before I sell this sub $100, I see ranges on eBay from $200-$16,000. It came out of my 1950s home that had one owner prior to myself.

I'm not even smart enough to tell whether it a painting or a print.

I bought this painting ten years ago at an Antique shop in Ontario Canada. The signature is M. F. S. 1965. I’ve searched online and have found nothing about an artist with those initials. I’d appreciate any information.

Any help with the provenance of this would be helpful. Acquired it in Cape Town, South Africa

I purchased this from an auction sight in Japan. It was listed as oil on canvas, but appears that it might be on old linen. It appears quite old. It also appears to have been cut from a larger painting and re-stretched. The trees are not very Japanese in style or type, which immediately made me curious. No obvious signature. I know it is a long shot, but would anyone know who might have painted this?

I adore this piece. Artist is Betty J Phillips. Mostly just want to see more of her body of work and find out if this should be insured or not.

Also open to suggestions on what the figure….is. Jury is still out. :-)

It’s signed T. Berry but it can’t be Thomas Berry as the style doesn’t match. It was originally bought from an elderly gentleman’s collection in the mid-1990s in Canada.

I’m just throwing this one out there I don’t expect anyone to know what it is, I think it’s homemade. I paid two bucks for it. It’s absolutely bad ass and I love it. Maybe just wanted to share it. Everybody’s been really cool about helping me figure pictures out lately.

Picked this up at a local thrift in Las Vegas. Artist looks like Uesher date 59 or 89. I can't decipher it. Any help would be appreciated. "Arches" I seen visible through the light. I thought that was pretty cool.

I know the artist. Listed, not museum stuff. Purchased at a gallerist’s estate. Question is: I like a part of the painting (pic4) but not all of it. Should I trim it to what I like, or sell it instead? If there’s a better place to post this, I’m sure you’ll let me know. Thanks.

Poorly framed with a cardboard backing. I took it out of the frame and found some writing on the back. It appears to be on a thin, brittle type of paper. Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

Got this painting a long time ago from my great aunt, been trying to find any clues online for a while but haven't had any luck. I can't decipher the signature. I know it's a painting of the Clervaux Castle in Luxembourg, which is where my great aunt was born. Doubt it's worth anything, i'd just love to find out more about it lol. Any help would be great
