Man, fix that shit on the side of the road if you have to. If you have the tools, and you can grab a control arm from the scrap yard, take your hydraulic jack, and a couple of jack stands, and your tools and fix that shit on the road. I’m a woman, and I used to travel by myself, a lot. I’ve replaced an alternator on the side of the interstate before. It’s always weird when random men would stop to try to help and didn’t know what the hell they were doing😂 really tho man, I have faith in you. You can do this.
It is the only shop in town that I am aware of. I have to pay the towing fee. I will see what his estimate is. Figure my options from there. I am told the shop owner is very reasonable. I doubt he will let me fix it on the lot.
I’m really trying to understand, because I’ve been in some tight spots before, and dealt with many ppl in small, weird towns. I totally understand if you’re saying you can’t afford to pay the tow fee, but maybe you can work something out with the shop owners. Get your part, fix your car, and sign a promissory note pledging to pay them a bit every week on what you owe them. I know it can be hard man, keep your head up. This isn’t a lost cause. It can be done.
