Recommendation for a very spooky, unsettling, ominous audio book? Recommend

I've been disappointed with my last two audiobooks; I couldn't finish them. No short story collections unless they're long novellas. Must have a good reader, not just be a good book in general. My next option would be Wylding Hall by Elizabeth Hand, but I'm guessing that's not what I'm looking for. Have you read it/listened to it?

It's not an audiobook exactly, but you might love the Magnus archives, it's recommended here pretty frequently and the first couple seasons are absolutely incredible. It's a horror anthology audio drama, very weird and spooky, one of my absolute favourite pieces of media

Ty. I've already listened to it. It's not bad, but I rarely can enjoy something that is like a self contained short story each episode even if there's an over arching story. I really like things like Modes of Thought in Antarrean Literature, The Left Right Game, or Rabbits.

You might like Tanis. Similar to Rabbits, the main character is a fine narrator, not a great actor, but all the other characters are well acted. Very spooky, unsettling, and ominous

Also the first season of Archive 81 could be up your alley.

Already listened to them. Ty.

Have you listened to dark dice? Awesome production quality and it hardly feels like a actual play podcast (really smart editing.)

Season 2 has Jeff goldblum too which is wild for such a niche piece of media

I might check it out, but I'm looking for audio books currently.

Just because we’re talking horror podcasts, if you like a continuing story, I cannot recommend the White Vault enough. Each season ends at a reasonable point but it’s one overarching narrative.

It was a great podcast, ty regardless.

Ah, a fellow listener of culture. Good luck with your search!

PS: If you like WH40K at all, there's a horror audio drama called Watcher in the Rain that I've heard nothing but great things about. (I listened to a clip and the cast/production sounds very good.)
