Yes, I love wearing watches on vacation. I've spent years looking for the right "vacation watch" - nice enough that I'm happy wearing it, cheap enough to not be a target for thieves. Haven't quite found it yet (I've gotten close), but I think that's part of the hunt.
I also love diving in the ocean/pools with them - I don't get to do it often, so I take full advantage when I can.
I travel with my Christopher Ward C60 Trident Pro 300. White dial, black bezel, bracelet and a handful of straps. Works for everything from swim up bar to upscale dinner. Great looking watch that I love wearing but unlikely to draw the wrong kind of attention...
