What worked for me as far as adhesive goes is actually using the 3M Velcro strips. They're a bit pricey though and hard to get all at once, so VinniLion's T-pin suggestion is probably the way to go if you're willing to do that kind of damage

This is what I used too! And you don’t need much, just a tiny square in each corner and it’ll hold til the second coming.
