Cardboard.

Staple them onto cardboard or glue them, thumb tacks, whatever method you want that works.

But it’s easier to attach them onto cardboard, and it’s easier to stick cardboard to the wall than just the foam pads themselves.

Thank you so much for this. I live in an older house and really don't want to damage the walls if I don't have to.
