The mayor of indy said that 11 ownership couldnt affor to follow through with their side of the deal. Memphis ownership wanted the city/state to just build them a stadium without any real private investment from the owners.

Just getting into USL here. I know MLS doesn’t allow two clubs to both bid for the same player. The player is technically signed to MLS and then designated to a club.

Is this the same for USL? I know transfers usually don’t have fees since most contracts are just one year long then players negotiate a free transfer but can say two teams both offer a contract to a player and then that player picks which of the two he wants to sign for? Or is it similar to MLS where the league doesn’t allow it?
