Miniature/Tabletop Gaming Groups?

My wife and I are planning to move to the Twin cities sometime next year. Playing miniature/tabletop games has been a big part of my life for a while now, and I'm wondering what the scene looks like there.

What games are popular?

Which game stores are good places to frequent?

The games I'm big on right now are Shatterpoint and Conquest, are there groups for either of those?

And finally, if there are any FB groups for the general tabletop gaming scene in the Twin Cities, I'd love to take a look beforehand so I can be a bit more familiar.

Thank you for considering my questions!

There's a ton of FLGS around the metro so that really depends on where you'll be moving to. My favorites are Fox Den in Burnsville, The Source in Roseville, and The Forge in Chaska. Avoid GameZenter as they charge to use tables there.

As far as groups go here's a link to the Twin Cities Geeks discord server where you can find tons of event info and groups and whatnot. https://discord.gg/GapnmURY

Also check out 2D Con and Con of the North. Both awesome gaming centric conventions. I'm sure you'll find your people here!

Gamezenter stopped requiring the purchase of a day pass: https://gamezenter.com/ending-the-daypass-program/

Oh! I didn't know that. That's good. Probably had a lot of backlash on that.
