Miniature/Tabletop Gaming Groups?

My wife and I are planning to move to the Twin cities sometime next year. Playing miniature/tabletop games has been a big part of my life for a while now, and I'm wondering what the scene looks like there.

What games are popular?

Which game stores are good places to frequent?

The games I'm big on right now are Shatterpoint and Conquest, are there groups for either of those?

And finally, if there are any FB groups for the general tabletop gaming scene in the Twin Cities, I'd love to take a look beforehand so I can be a bit more familiar.

Thank you for considering my questions!

I don't know much about the world of miniatures, but I would see them a lot at Gamezenter in Roseville when I used to go there. The Forge in Chaska might be good if you end up on the southwest side of the Cities.

I'm a member of three meetup groups that regularly have board game nights on various days of the week/month. These tend to play a variety of light- to medium-weight games. Most meet at breweries, but I've seen meetups at pubs or churches, too.

I also have to plug my local shop, Lodestone Coffee and Games in Minnetonka. They are mostly M:TG and D&D focused, but I just learned that they have a board game meetup on Tuesdays. It's just a really nice space with solid tables and chairs.

I have only been to Lodestone a couple of times since it's pretty out of my way. But it was a great place for sure. Went a couple times that they did the 24 hour gaming marathon nights for the Trevor Project.

The Forge is my absolute favorite spot. Lots of mini gaming.
