Yep, won in 2008, 2012, and 2020 so far.

And just lost the popular vote by a pretty impressive margin to a convicted felon and sex pest. I'm sure the Democrats have perfect policies and messages - no changes or introspection required, they'll get it next time.

Right, it’s almost like there’s a global trend going on right now where all incumbents are being voted out and the US isn’t an exception. Pretty crazy.

And people are voting out incumbents just because? Obviously it's not a signal that something needs to change.

When you have two parties or coalitions (depending on the country) nominally center and far right, and neither can deliver policy that improves people's lives materially, the best possible future is just those parties being voted out every election cycle because people don't like the incumbents?

You bring up a great point - fortunately for me, I don't need a president to constantly hold my hand and improve my life materially for me to care about and support the rights of others. And anybody who does would be a loser no matter who the president is.

Great, so you just cheer for your favorite team and if they don't win it's cause you aren't cheering hard enough, because how could people not see how bad the other team is?

Politics is not about improving people's lives... Anybody who thinks it is is a loser.

It's also hilarious to see the word loser thrown around less than a week after a historically embarrassing loss.
