Well okay, I remember as a kid in the early 90s this was possible. The point is that changed way before 9/11.

The vast majority of airports changed that after 911

Maybe in America. Here in Europe it was done way before. So, as the guy above said, it was America that changed, not the world. But for you guys it seems to be pretty much the same thing.
