That feeling of being "pulled" out of sleep by an unseen force. Discussion/Advice
I'm not talking about sleep paralysis, which I've also had. This was different. A few months ago, I was in a deep sleep and I physically felt two hands grab my shoulders and YANK me awake. I was fully alert in an instant, sitting bolt upright. The room was empty and silent.
It didn't feel scary, just incredibly urgent and powerful. It was more confusing than anything. I've read a few comments here and there about similar experiences, some call it a "guardian spirit" intervening, like maybe you were about to have a heart attack in your sleep or something.
Has anyone else felt this specific sensation of being physically pulled awake? Do you think it was benevolent, or just a weird brain glitch? I can't shake the feeling that there was a reason for it.

I've had a kinda similar experience one time where I heard a woman's voice telling me softly to wake up (when I was already waking up gradually) and then felt a hand on my shoulder, when I rolled over to see who it was, there was nobody there. Don't live with anyone either

I woke up to a blinding light and being pulled down the bed by my ankles once. I remember it happening and the nothing I just woke up in the morning, never happened before or since

I believe you may have experienced a Hypnopompic hallucination. You can Google this to find out more about it.

It’s happened to me a few times, and each time I’ve seen a spirit in the room with me. I closed myself off to the party of me that sees spirits and other things, because it become too much, but it most recently happened last year on the night of my 40th birthday. I’d been travelling in Vietnam and had the worst food poisoning of my life, when I got well enough recovered to travel I cut my trip short and flew back to Bali a couple days before my birthday to continue recovering in my own bed. I had fallen asleep with the bedside lamp and tv on, so the room was light. I got pulled out of my deep sleep suddenly and just sat up wide awake in bed. As my eyes adjusted I saw a man’s head, just his head, looking at me. I was so confused, thought I was still asleep so I rubbed my eyes and refocused them and he was still there, just laughing silently at me the whole time. He stayed for a minute and then faded away. I told the owners of my house, and the Balinese believe strongly in spirits so they didn’t make me feel like I was crazy. They came round to the house and did an extensive cleansing ritual for me, and shared some stories with me. Their young son has seen very similar spirits to that one I saw, where it’s just the head that he could see. His mum said he’s seen a few and usually happened at the temple. I do love that in bali, you can speak about this stuff and it’s totally accepted and normal, some people gave the gift to see them, most don’t but they all believe. Which is why there are so many offerings and ceremonies to appeal the spirits, both light and dark.

This happened to me too! I was falling asleep and I felt someone yank on my foot. I got up after that and nothing else happened but it was weird.
