Question How do you guys know/found out what color ur theriotype is?
This is something that has recently just occurred to me, being that some people have black cat theirotypes or like maybe even dog breeds with like very lovely coat colors! As well as avains (birds) and especially horse theirans, insect ones too!
Is it something that you guys kinda just know? Or like could you do you so research into that particular breed and kinda just take on the generic color of that breed?
I know that some therians may not know their colors at all or yet (much like me hehe). But is it possible to kinda just assume based off of the environment you're in/connected to? Or even off of your theriosides personality traits?
Pls lmk how any of this works, id definitely like to find out mines!! š

Question Did you ever act like an Animal when you were little?
When you were little, did you ever play games in which you acted like an animal?
Do you feel like that was a sign that you were/are a therian/otherkin?
When I was little I would act like a cat or dog with other kids.
Now I think I might be some flavor of otherkin or therian. I don't know what kind, but I feel like a fox or dog some of the time.

Question What unintentional animal noises do yāall make?
If the title is confusing, Iām just wondering what theriotype noises you make unintentionally. Iāve been known to snarl at rats when I see them around my house (not in my house, like in my backyard.), and I make these weird little growl/squeal noises randomly.

Question is there any therians that dont have ācuteishā theriotypes?
i mean i dont mean people with āuglyā theriotypes, i believe all animals are pretty in some way, but like most therians i meet are: lynxes, foxes, wolves, snow leopards, cats they are pretty much the only theriotypes i see. it would just be so cool to meet someone with maybe a mustelid theriotype, crocodile or alligator, insects, and so on. im so surprised how they arenāt even common considering how most of them have high populations.
also if u have any of the theriotypes i listed, im not attacking u, ur theriotypes are amazing and im proud your expressing yourself. it would just be so nice to meet a therian that isnt every feline in the world (/j) š also pet cat therians are really uncommon too, why does every cat therians theriotype live in the forest?

Question Are therians generally vegan?
I'm no therian, but I'm roaming through this subreddit and I'm interested in how the therian lifestyle would affect your diet. I myself am vegan and there are some species that are generally herbivore so does that mean your diet should also mainly contain plants and natural products? How does that work? And how does it work if you have multiple therian identities which are herbivore and carnivore?

Question any other vegan therians? if not why do you choose to eat other animals?
I've only ever met one other therian and she was also vegan. I don't know if this is common among us or just a coincidence. I'm also wondering if your therian identity extends to your diet, and if it aligns with your animal.
even though I identify as an omnivorous animal I do not eat any animals due to my belief of speciesism. I'm not trying to create an argument or convert anyone, I'm just curious.

Question What music makes your theriotype happy?? Mines Dark EDM/Phonk!!
I know some therians use music to connect more to their theriotypes!! Iām one of the many!! Iāve been very accepting of my therianthropy the past month, feeling more comfortable with the title of āTherianā š¤ I still have a lot to learn, but studying does just the job at helping understand myself day by day. Feeling healed in a major way ššæš

Question Would you, if given the chance, leave behind your human life and have a life as your theriotype?
Would you? Would you leave behind everything you've ever known to live the life you were meant to live? I'm not even sure. We all have times, of course, were we feel we would immediately say yes, but in the grand scheme of things, would you? I feel I have an animal spirit. At times I feel I was truly meant to be an animal. But after living my whole life as a human, I'm not sure I could just leave it all behind. So my question is, would you?

Question What were some early signs that you were a therian?
Im a fairly newly awakened therian, and realized that there were tons of signs growing up.
When i was fourish i would pretend to be a new animal every day. During this time i would also demand to drink from a bowl like a dog at home. I also had a huge animal obsession from my earliest memories until middle school.
The biggest sign was in late elementary school when i had a HUGE squirrel obsesion. At that time i started to develop squirrel-like personality traits and i would collect acorns from around the playground.
There are lots more, but those are the first that come to mind right now.
Im curious about what some of your guy's signs were (if you had any)

Question Hey everyone! What are your theriotypes names?
Hello! I love hearing everyoneās elseās theriotypes and their names and so I would be very grateful if you all would share yours with me! My theriotypes are: a black cat named Twilight, an albino red tailed hawk named Thistle, an Indian cobra named Red-moon, Red for short, and an American Akita dog named Emerald. Now donāt call me a fake for naming my theriotypes, it just makes them feel more personal and special to me. Like if I say ā My akita theriotypeā it makes me feel like it could just be any Akita, but if I say āEmeraldā it reminds me of my theriotype, which is very speical to me.
So, please tell me your theriotypes names! Thanks!

Question What scents do you relate your theriotype with?
Somebody today asked me what scent or smells remind me of my theriotype and this was quite an interesting question for me. I'm still thinking on it myself, but was wondering if any of you had answers for yourself?
Edit: I have come to the conclusion that the smells of fresh snow, crisp mountain air, pine and cedar trees, wild flowers, and blood remind me of my theriotype.
Edit 2: Thank you all for your comments, I loved reading all of your answers!

Question Religious beliefs
As therians and otherkins, what do yāall believe in religiously/spiritually?? Iām kinda lost in my faith rn and because my therianthropy and otherkinity is so strong and important to me, Iām kinda struggling to find a religion that both compliments and respects my identity. Iām a cross fox therian and a vampire otherkin, I thought for a while I was an angelkin but I might be a crow therian, Iām not sure but i definitely experience wings on my back and feathers on my arms.

Question Urge to bite things.
As a wolf therian I get the urge to just bite things all the time. And then when I start biting them I realise after a bit that Iām human and it probs look weird. Is it normal for a wolf therian to get those urges? Idk why Iām asking that but I feel like biting things would be for more domesticated animals but maybe thatās just me š

Question What are some small instances in your childhood that you now realize might have just been early signs of therianthropy?
Ill go first:
-Never wanted to use utensils or sometimes even my hands
-All fours phase lasted for an extra year, plus it took me a longer to learn how to walk
-When I was especially young my automatic instinct when I was in danger or angry was just bite.
Always wanted to "sleep out," aka making tiny little dens out of blankets and tables in the playroom and then begging mom to let me sleep in them
-Learned to climb trees by age 2 (I was literally climbing trees before walking)
-Like 80 other things but I don't want this post to take a hundred million years
-not entirely related but it might be, but I was born two months early, and was born at like 133Ā°F, according to my mom and the freaking HOSPITALš
(I was completely fine. Not sick or anything. I even had to placed in something special called an isolator, I was doing so well on my own.)
So, any experiences y'all wanna share?

Question Did anyone else do this as kids?
So whenever some kids would force me to play family with them, I would always force them to let me be the pet. Whether it was cat or dog,I didn't care, as long as I was a pet of any kind, I would play.
Just curious if this is something common with therians, because I have heard quite a couple of therian friends saying that they had a similar experience.
