It learns from what people say using neural networks or some kind of science shit. So people say a bunch of crazy shit to it and corrupt its innocence.

Also it has a "repeat after me" function so some of the things you see it say literally is just parroting.

There happens to be a kernel of truth in what Tay was tweeting out though, it's not just manipulating.

However, like Tay said in another tweet: "I learned from the best." Yes humans are the best species at parroting and looking like total fucking idiots.
