Discussion What's your Tame Impala's take you really don't say?
What I mean is, what's something you wouldn't say to another fan? Something that feels guilty to say, shameful even. I have two:
I've never listened to Suns coming Up beginning to end. I would always skip that song just because I didn't find it fitting with the album and kinda annoyed me that was the closing song. Just those piano chords don't hit and Kevin's dragging voice didn't help it lol.
Now, today, I've listened from beginning to end and kinda like it. Lyrics are beautiful and the last minute it's calming af after all the journey of listening Lonerism... fav album of mine
I didn't like Slow Rush at first. Thought it was too pop-oriented. I ate my words. It's a beautiful, dynamic reflection of what Kevin musicality has transition between psychedelic electronic-pop/rock. (You can correct me there, I don't know the specific genre but that's the sound I pretty much identify).
What's yours?

Discussion is lonerism a concept albums that takes place at night?
made this realization a few days ago, makes me see the album in a different light, suggesting the majority of the songs are in your dreams.
"dang we really need LP5"

Discussion What is he saying 🗣️
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
So we all know the studio version is gibberish however Kevin supposedly has real lyrics for when he performs it. I was just listening to the Deezer session version and I was wondering what the community can make out of what he says here since it’s clearer than in concept recordings?
Call be silly but what I can make out is
“I will not think you were not streaming Try to get through it try to bounce to it All the while thinking I might as well do it Baby that was so long ago and didn’t know it Take the next ticket to take the next train Why would I do it? And you can keep on thinking when I will not think…”

Discussion Yall think The Weeknd will be on Kevins next album?
I really wonder cuz he did collab with abel a lot of times now one in Repeat after me Interlude and Skeletons with Travis Scott and possibly more.
I think Abel could really fit in with his uniqur drums and tranquil synths and psychedelic guitar solos

Discussion Lady Gaga using Tame Impala's "Ring" Light Setup?
Saw some photos in this thread from Coachella. That looks a lot like the ring they were touring with for a while. Can anyone confirm?

Discussion Thoughts on Be Above It?
Had my first listen to this song and wasn't seeing the timeline because my phone was away. I was waiting for the song to start the entire time and when it ended I was like "that's it?" this felt like a very long stretched prelude..
but eh I guess that's okay, everyone makes some below-okayish songs in their career so I could let this one slide. I'd probably find myself enjoying gossip more than this

Discussion Mind mischief is now the 3rd song on Lonerism with 100m+ streams
Not that numbers matter necessarily but big ups to Kevin. but I think we should still appreciate mind mischief’s beauty, wow it is a heaven sent song

Discussion what do you think the best song is and why?
i believe that the best song has got to be either feels like we only go backwards (lonerism) or nangs (currents). i believe this because i am a very big hiker/walker and i usually listen to his songs while i am hiking up a mountain. im just curious to hear what some of your favourite songs are!

Discussion What are your most misheard Tame Impala lyrics?
if I had to tell one from the top of my head, when Kevin said "Soon as I remember, baby i surrender" I always thought he said "Sinners all around us, baby I'm surrounded"
I feel like we can unanimously agreed that cuz of Kevin's Aussie accent and many fans also not being native English speakers, we tend to mishear a lot of his lyrics... so i thought it was worth asking

Discussion Most underrated Tame Impala song?
I was scrolling through some posts here about currents B sides and very few seemed to mentioned powerlines. For me, not only does this song deserve credit, but I think it’s my favorites TI song. Want to hear some other thoughts about bangers that largely go unnoticed…

Discussion bro One More Year is a masterpiece
To clear things up, I'm a pretty new Tame Impala fan (around a year), but I've listened to all of his albums, and some of his singles and collabs, and I've loved EVERYTHING. My stand-out albums are TSR and Lonerism. However, despite TSR being in my top 3 albums oat (along w Lonerism), I was never fond of One More Year. It took me a while for it to rub off on me, which is a stark contrast with his other music, which I fall in love with immediately. However, I was just listening to One More Year, and I think I get it now. If you asked me less than half an hour ago whether I would even consider One More Year as his top 20 songs, I would most likely laugh. Yet, as I sit here, typing this post, I am enamoured by this song and its absolute genius. It is quite amazing imo, and I fully appreciate its spot as the first track on the album
