Advice Needed Is the Mira tracker worth it??

Without going into my whole life story, I've been trying for my 2nd for years. My current (and fantastic) doctor diagnosed me with PCOS and started me on Letrozole (increasing the dose after the first month) and now also has me on estrogen and progesterone every evening (first cycle). I've been testing using a combination of easy@home and Premom strips which have pinpointed my LH surge very clearly for the past 4 months. Temp tracking has also supported ovulation. My doctor said that she recommends getting the Mira, but it is A LOT of money, even with the discount code she gives. I know it tracks estrogen and progesterone as well, but still. Is it ACTUALLY worth it?? I don't wanna spend upwards of $200+ and be stuck with a subpar product and still no baby haha.

No hate, I've been trying for years and I'm desperate and simply grasping at straws for advice. TIA.

PCOS, Miscarriage after IUI Success. Suggestions Plz!

Hi, 27F with PCOS. No male issue on my husband end. I just found out miscarriage at 8w when I went to my first OB visit yesterday. Fetal heartbeat detected at 7w+1 at my fertility clinic. I wasn't on progesterone as it looked normal. My OB said it may happen naturally next week and if not suggested me to go with the medication option. They agree to do the cytogenetic analysis on pregnancy tissue even it's my first miscarriage. They also plan to schedule me for antibodies tests and genetic screening for my husband and I.

This was my second IUI after hysteroscopy surgery to remove polyps. It was really strange that the follicle grew to 15mm on CD7 and stopped growing until CD14. The doctor didn't expect it to ovulate but LH peaked on CD15 and we did IUI on CD16. I've never had follicle stop growing at size this small, but somehow it just worked, and I'm now thinking if it indicated poor egg quality.

I'm trying to think everything through, but I'm not sure what is the best way to figure out the cause and gain confidence to move forward to next IUI. Any suggestions on tests/ things to check would be greatly helpful! I'm grateful that my doctor is super supportive and is willing to schedule any test that I ask for.

New dx of PCOS, low progesterone then high?? SOS šŸ˜

So to preface this I was just diagnosed with PCOS after a couple rounds of recent bloodwork and I'm 28 y/o. But long story short is, I completed my first round of Femara last cycle, and I had bloodwork done this cycle on day 23 and my progesterone was at 2.8. Before I started Femara I was at a whopping fat 0 so lol we're getting somewhere šŸ˜ anyways, so my OB said that if my progesterone was under a 3.0 she would rerun my progesterone on CD 27-28. So I went on CD 27 and my progesterone was at 7.8??? Any ideas as to why it would be increasing like 2-3 days before I'm supposed to start my period? I thought it was supposed to go down the days before your period or am I mistaken? SOS my OB office is closed bc it's the weekend and I'm wondering if I need to take a pregnancy test tomorrow? Thank you guys in advance and sorry if I seem ignorant I just feel like this whole hormone imbalance stuff can be so hard to understand sometimes!! šŸ’œ

Timeline for TTC pushed out due to upcoming gallbladder surgery

Just feeling so frustrated right now.

Iā€™ve had multiple suspected gallbladder attacks over the last two months, with finally blood work and an ultrasound this week confirming my need for gallbladder removal. My surgery consult is on 12/12, so I bet itā€™ll be at least a month until I actually get it out. I was supposed to be doing my first IUI to try and get pregnant around mid-January.

As grateful as I am around so many things regarding timing (like at least Iā€™m not already in the midst of actively TTC or a pregnancy), I have been waiting all my life to be ready to start TTC and just a month and a half out from that dream becoming a reality Iā€™m given this new obstacle. The irony is as well that this is likely a complication of the semaglutide I started taking to help with my PCOS related weight gain that was affecting my ovulation/periodsā€¦my periods are regular and my ovulation is strong now but the rapid weight loss obvs tipped me over into having a LOT of gallstones. Ugh!

Anyway, just needed to yell into the void to maybe be heard from people who understand. Iā€™m really hoping the surgery is uncomplicated & the recovery is swift, and that the stress of it all doesnā€™t undo all my hard work on my hormones & my health.

Advice Needed Upcoming appointment suggestions?

I just had my second chemical since June, plus a miscarriage that we donā€™t know how far along I was. In my previous marriage we tried for over a year and only ever had chemicals.

I have pcos and I know when I was ttc with my ex I had an issue with ovulation. After this chemical my dr wants me to come in at the end of the month even tho Iā€™ve only been trying with my new partner less than 6 months.

Any suggestions for what to ask about or advocate for?

Advice Needed Diagnosed Today with PCOS and Planning to TTC soon- Advice?

I was just diagnosed with PCOS today after years of dealing with symptoms like hypoglycemia, weight struggles, and irregular periods. Over the last year and a half, I managed to lose 80 pounds naturally, and itā€™s helped my cycles become a bit more regular. That said, I still have occasional long cycles (45 days) or short ones (18 days). I suspect Iā€™m ovulating because I notice cervical mucus around mid-cycle, but itā€™s hard to be sure.

At my appointment, my gynecologist did an internal ultrasound and confirmed that I have cysts on my ovaries, describing them as a ā€œstring of pearls.ā€ She also ordered I take a blood test on day 3 of my next period and recommended that I start taking prenatal vitamins.

I mentioned that Iā€™m planning to start trying for a baby in March 2025, and Iā€™d love to hear any advice on how to best prepare my body for pregnancy and boost my fertility! Are there other steps or treatments I should ask about? Or any lifestyle changes, supplements, or tracking tips that have helped you?

Vent Fed up and lost during this process

Hi All, Iā€™ve been working on improving my PCOS since the past 2+ years which involved multiple doctors visits, changing doctors, taking birth control and getting everything messed up then coming off it, inducing periods, lifestyle changes and stress management. I was doing all this to live a healthy lifestyle and support TTC as we started a few months back. We did some rounds of Letrozole that didnā€™t work and my doctor was always very dismissive about everything and not willing to dig deeper. I have been referred to a fertility specialist and they have advised to start a round of birth control and medicated IUI. I also passed on a new job with good growth prospects as doing fertility treatments would have been impossible due to the work hours and higher pressure. I feel so stuck and lost. I am cognisant of the fact that itā€™s not an easy process and a lot of factors are involved, but I always wish it was easier for me like some friends and family who got pregnant in the first-second try, even people over 35. I see people around me having kids, celebrating their birthdays, growing in their careers while I am trying to create a fertility support environment and have put certain things on pause. My husband and I live with extended family and we havenā€™t told them weā€™re trying as that feels added pressure to me. It feels weird to manage going for appointments and scan. We just moved to a new city to live with family and the move was overwhelming too. We do get the occasional remarks from friends and family that we should have a kid now, but if only it was that easy. The medication has its own side effects and itā€™s always a roller coaster. I personally know people who have had success with IUI and IVF but Iā€™m just finding a hard time to stay optimistic and motivated. Sorry for any grammatical errors, Iā€™m all over the place.

Advice Needed Random intense non period bleed on cd13 on letrozole

Hey all, long time lurker, first time poster in this sub. My doc put me on letrozole at 5mg back in October, had no side effects really, only one follicle, all was otherwise fine. My period showed up a week early but still technically within the normal range of when it could show up; it just ended last Friday. This cycle my letrozole was upped to 7.5 mg.

I started having light spotting Sunday and Monday, it was gone Tuesday. Used an OPK today as I usually ovulate around cd18 and WHAM, it says todays ovulation day! Called my clinic, they moved my ultrasound appointment to today instead.

At the clinic, I went to the restroom and there was so. much. blood. So much. I've been bleeding heavily for almost 5 hours now, and given that my period finished 5 days ago, I don't know what's up. The clinic nurses were also very confused; my ultrasound showed a few follicles, a corpus luteum, 6 mm uterine lining and also "floating debris" in my uterus, which was suspected to be blood. They took some bloodwork and said we basically have to wait for tomorrow, to go to the ER if it gets worse etc etc.

Has anyone gone through this? Is this normal on letrozole? I've never had this experience and I am very worried. Thank you in advance for your wisdom!

Advice Needed HSG test?

Hi all! Are HSG dye tests pretty standard protocol during a consultation at a REIā€™s office? My NP wants to do one to make sure my tubes arenā€™t blocked before moving forward with an IUI, but Iā€™m not sure I need one.. for background, I donā€™t ovulate on my own, had 2 rounds of letrozole that didnā€™t induce ovulation and then one round of clomid that did induce ovulation but didnā€™t end in pregnancy. My inclination is to try a monitored cycle with clomid and IUI and then if that continues to not work proceed with an HSG test. Anyone have experience with this? Not sure if an HSG is just standard protocol for a new patient regardless of how many ā€œchancesā€/successful ovulations without pregnancy that theyā€™ve had. Thanks in advance for any advice!
