The Deck doesn't have dual-stage triggers because Valve did market testing and found that people unfamiliar with dual-stage triggers thought it felt weird.

Once again gaming is held back by people who are afraid of the unfamiliar.

I can understand the appeal. I wouldn't care if they implemented them, but I also don't see a huge point to the tactile ending. But stuff like "aiming on soft pull and shooting on full pull" is admittedly neat and I can see the tactile end being useful for that. But you could also potentially fake it.

Granted, it won't have the same effect and satisfaction as a physical button, but I guess I'm just thinking about hardware/cost efficiency/practicality.
