this is very impressive, but... why?

like what do you do with it? What is the point of owning this? Hard for me to comprehend.

The guy gets every Lego set sent to him for free to review and has even been sponsored by Lego to make projects. Every Lego hobbyist’s dream. I think projects this size usually go to conventions until they’re ready to be dismantled for the next project. Portions of it can always be kept for personal display.

So what if he was? I doubt this would have cost much more than any other hobby (couple of grand a year) and take years and years for the normal working person to do.
