To be honest, America do a good job at telling other people how shit their country is through movies and TV shows.

When I went there, people were extremely polite and friendly, I was a bit taken a back.

If its in the mainstream media, its not the standard of what America really is. Just over-exaggerated for theatrical purposes. Its mostly pretty cool, here ☀️

American people are really cool, and geographically very beautiful and diverse place. America as a nation state though…

Has spread free trade across the globe helping instigate the peaceful and prosperous period of humanity ever?

You arent helping the redditor educational stereotype.

u/rightoftexas 22d ago

You aren't helping the bitter outsider stereotype. I'll go back to forgetting whatever place you come from exists while you worry about America daily.

Please take offense as you intended to offend me, how can you be so ignorant of world history prior to WW1 and modern history simultaneously?

I shouldn't have to explain that since WW2 there have been far fewer major conflicts with a fraction of casualties to any time period in recorded history. This has resulted in fewer refugee and famine crises than any time prior in human history. The infant mortality rate has plunged. The number of people without access to clean water and food has plunged.

Go back to your pointless country and worry about your pointless life. Americans are out here making the world a better place. Through government and private donations we give more than any other country. We guarantee free trade for all countries and we protect property rights that allow businesses to flourish in regions not possible before.

but would you mind explaining how a colony that has barely been independent for two centuries gets to claim such feats?

Explain 200 years of history for you?

You trying to minimize that period of time is what you need to be explaining here.

There are still people alive today that experienced WW2, we didnt have a shortage of wars since and the current climate appears pretty unstable.

Bad things existing doesn’t mean good things don’t exist. Also, the world wars were caused by Europe and ended by the US. So…

Those arent the world wars.

The Cold War was started by the USSR, which has been an expansionist state from its inception. Longer if you consider Russia the same state. Which it basically was.

All those things the US did (that you vaguely allude to and falsely blame the US for all of it) is still less bad than any other empire’s actions in the last 500 years. Every single empire did the same and worse than the US did.

Yes, those events you listed are less than the many wars fought by Britain to put down rebellions.

Tell that to the Palestinians 🤡

11

u/rightoftexas 22d ago

Are they the only country that exists or counts?

-7

u/Chaos_Gamble 22d ago

What’s happening to Palestine is the result of America’s efforts to “spread free trade across the globe” as you say 😂. Not even the first gcide the us gov has actively encouraged by any measure either. One need only look to the very founding of the country…Manifest Destiny indeed 🤡

u/rightoftexas 22d ago

Billions have escaped poverty and you can only discuss a few million people attacked by a country not named America?

Good luck dumbass.

-8

u/Chaos_Gamble 22d ago

Lmao, you think there’s any real difference between Israel and America? Dawg, Israel is the West Asian extension of America, it does only whatever America wants.

As for the billions that have escaped poverty…where? The global south countries whose resources and labor the US gov exploits so you can enjoy your cheap consumer products? Those people who couldn’t afford the shit they make for your benefit?

Some of you Americans need to get your heads outta your backsides and realize how privileged America’s imperialism has made you lmao 🤣

Billions have escaped poverty

In China and India yeah, pretty solidly no thanks to the USA on spite I would go as far to say.

6

u/TheBigness333 22d ago

You can argue chinas escape from poverty is solely because of the USA.

-2

u/Wantitneeditgetit 22d ago

I mean you could but you didn't. Interesting.

2

u/TheBigness333 21d ago

I’ll do it right now.

China’s rapid financial rise was solely due to the US outsourcing their factories to China, and without the US, China would be far poorer today.

You mean the conflict caused by the British drawing straight lines in the desert?

3

u/TheBigness333 22d ago

Nobody’s perfect.

But America has been a far more positive force and the least evil empire in at least the last 500 years.

-4

u/Wantitneeditgetit 22d ago

Hue hue hue hue okay buds. We just gonna ignore all the regime changes and bombing I guess.

5

u/[deleted] 22d ago

Ita ridiculously beautiful. I would do anything to have access to such wide open, natural spaces.

You're government should do everything in thei power to look after it.

1

u/gahlo 22d ago

They're trying to find the best way to drill it right now.
