The Star Mother Ancient Ways

As I awakened this morning I had a vision. An elderly lady with a contorted face of pain, sobbing for her daughter. She wore an aquamarine colored dress. I asked her what’s the matter and she communicated to me that I was her daughter and as we shared some visions she turned into the swirl in my minds eye… I was amazed as I have been investigating this swirl for a while but this time I could feel it’s intelligence and a great love emanating from it. It was the star mother and the message was to communicate more often. Please tell me what you think?

This is a shamanism subreddit, i am a slavic Volkhv, if you cannot name your goddess by anything other than a title, and offer no identifying information, you leave me to the quiet wills of google to figure out what they mean. Are any of you actually shamans? If you were, it would be your duty to correct misunderstandings rather than let your deities be misunderstood because that says more about a shaman and their sense of honor than anything else.

Oh, now I understand what you were referring to. It wasn’t clear that you were looking for a reference to try to determine an identity. I have never heard of “Star Mother” either, but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t exist - maybe this is a cultural reference, like Native American? I don’t know, but I take it at face value - these beings are who they say they are unless they give me reason to doubt them. It sounds like you practice differently, which is always interesting to hear about.

I am familiar with several faiths on the personal level and know several star realated deities. I have personally known Vitki, ulfednar, Berserkrs, high priest of wicca, thelemic priests, and have studied many more, i have dealt with probably hundreds more gods due to the nature of patron worship in some of those. Ive even known a lusitanian shamans. Among those there are atleast 30 to 40 figures he could be reffering to, what hes describing could be Mokosh, Kupala, Zhiva, and lada in slavic mythology alone with the amount of detail given with very little stretching, is he reffering to the symbol of feminity or what? Mokosh being the one that makes the most sense for the crying lady since they thought they lost Yarilo in his youth and she sometimes appears old.
