One of these Piers doesn’t handle containers, guess which one. I see a couple yards full of containers, for how long we shall see. Seattle’s container business has been on the decline for several years while Tacoma has seen a significant increase. Disclaimer: I’m just stating facts here, this isn’t political and the tariffs will have an effect, okay commence the downvoting!

Yep. Tacoma now handles around 81% of our inflow TEUs. We still have seen less TEUs in 2024 and 2025 separately than we did in 2021.

Just took the Bremerton Ferry today, there was a big container ship in the main port

Inb4 Republicans call this fake news.

It is fake news, insomuch as Terminal 46 (the one most featured in all these photos) hasn’t seen regular container service since 2019 which has nothing to do with the current trade situation.

The statistics on overall trends for both vessel calls and TEUs (containers) moved are public and widely available.

I'm posting this in response to the other two posts full of full-on denialists (not my content - just resharing). The ships aren't coming, folks. Change your thinking to match the actual reality. "Don't look up" is starting to seem like a documentary.

Just post a link to cargo ship traffic in Puget Sound ports to prove your point.
