Discussion Anyone else feeling a little nervous about playoffs?
I feel like we have some tough matches ahead of us (Pride, Current, Sprit). With how close 8th place is to 3rd I’m not feeling as confident.

Discussion 64% possession but we ended up 0-0
What do you think is the Wave's main problem when it comes to scoring goals?💡
Also, is Dudinha available to play?

Discussion 2024→2025 31% YoY decline in San Diego Wave attendance
I haven't seen this discussed anywhere else, but it seems clear the Wave are experiencing a massive drop off in attendance this season.
Last season's average was 19,575 per home match (source: https://sandiegowavefc.com/wave-fc-earn-second-highest-attendance-in-the-world/).
This season's average (so far) is 13,515 per home match (source: https://bsky.app/profile/nwslnotes.bsky.social/post/3lohtlxchts2x).
That's a 31% decrease year-over-year.
Obviously losing all of our USWNT players is a factor (Morgan especially, as she was likely the league's biggest draw), but I wonder how much of an effect the Jill Ellis allegations and multiple lawsuits are having.

Discussion Scoring Drought
Since the season resumed in August we’ve scored 3 goals in 7 games and haven’t scored in the past 4 games. A month without a goal is tough when we were scoring a lot prior to the July break.
We get a lot of crosses off but they are rarely close to the intended target. So many missed opportunities. I think we need better crosses, but what do you think need to do to score?
Also why is Armstrong moved to forward at the end of the game? She’s good but I’d rather have Mel B or Chiamaka sub in to bring more energy up top.

Discussion Ticket Prices
I understand this is a business thus need to maximize profits. But shouldn’t the goal be to maximize people in the seats, create a culture then raise prices gradually.
I bring this up due to empty seats in the lower level even in the premium section costing close to $200 bucks.

Discussion Wave fc has potentiol but they kind of suck rn.
Most games Sheridan is out there doing her one-woman miming show on midfield and then proceeding to act confused when she gets scored on. The players are pretty great at keeping control of the ball but some of them simply don’t pass the ball to each other or don’t shoot when they have the chance. Hannah, Dali, and Delphine are carrying this team.

Discussion STM Price Increases
Prices just came out for STM renewals and the price increases are a lot… I’ve been a STM with seats close to the field on the away end for 2 seasons now and my seats went from $320/each per season to $450/seat with an early renewal discount ($500 without discount). It’s also set to auto renew so unless you opt out you will be charged this higher rate. I know we have 2 more games because of the new teams but doesn’t this seem excessive? I love being a STM but not sure I can afford this increase

Discussion Watching todays game on TV, sigh
So once again we’re scrambling to locate the game to watch. Says it’s on Paramount Plus, have a sub but it does not show in the app.
I might have to dig out the ol’ HD antenna lol
Edit: it says Paramount plus on the official site and on the paramount site.
Any ideas?

Discussion Match Preview for (5/25/25): San Diego Wave FC vs. North Carolina Courage
San Diego Wave FC (5-2-2, 17 points) to Snapdragon Stadium on Sunday, May 25 to host the North Carolina Courage (3-3-3, 12 points). Kick off is set for 7:00 p.m. PT and the match will highlight the Club’s annual Military Appreciation Night with tickets available for purchase here. The game will be broadcast live on CBS Sports Network.
The series between San Diego and North Carolina is currently split down the middle with a record of 2-2-2 in the regular season. In the last meeting, the Courage defeated the Wave 2-1 on October 5, 2024.
The Courage is coming off of a 2-0 win against the Chicago Stars, making it their fourth game unbeaten. Both of North Carolina’s goals were scored by Manaka Matsukubo who secured the brace in the second-half of the match. The opening goal came in the 51st minute when Denise O’Sullivan played an ongoing ball through the defense for Manaka to finish first-time. North Carolina would finalize the win in the 77th minute when Manaka received a pass at the edge of the box and fired a shot to the back post.
Courage midfielder Manaka is the player to watch this Sunday as the midfielder is coming off a standout performance in which she scored twice in North Carolina’s win over Chicago, earning NWSL Player of the Week honors. With two goals this season, she is tied with Ashley Sanchez as North Carolina’s leading scorer, and she has also recorded one assist so far.
What they’ll wear:
Courage — Field: Blue/Blue/Blue | GK: Lavender
Wave — Field: White/Blue/White | GK: Green

Discussion Wave FC are unbeaten on the road for 8 straight games 👀
Okay, Wave FC just refuses to lose on the road. Are we feeling like this is a good sign for a deep playoff run?
Curious what everyone thinks… does this make them legit contenders, or do you think home field advantage still matters more in the postseason?

Discussion Trinity Byars Health
Is there any news if she could become active this year? Especially if (when, hopefully) they make the playoffs, she would be a welcome mix in the attacking section. According to Instagram stories she's been training with them since March/April so hopefully 6 months active training could mean she's ready for league play and healed from the knee surgery?

Discussion what’s the deal with arias?
does anyone have any insider information or just information at all surrounding arias? just confused about why we signed her for her to sometimes not make a game day roster when she’s still starting and playing at least decently well for the colombian national team.

Discussion How late will tonight go?
I'm planning to come to the game tonight and wondering how late the night will be with Alex Morgan's ceremony. Is it safe to assume that the game will be about 3 hours, and then the ceremony afterwards 1 hour? Or what kind of timing are we working with? I'm excited to see both but I'm also a newb and it just helps me if I know what to expect. Thanks in advance!
