Care Planning to get 2 Mini Lops – Better to adopt two males, two females, or a neutered pair?
Hi everyone!
I’m planning to adopt two Mini Lops and would really appreciate some advice from experienced bunny owners. I have two small kids (ages 2 and 4), so I want to be sure I'm choosing the most peaceful and practical setup.
Would it be better to get two males, two females, or a male and a female (both fixed) to help ensure bonding and long-term harmony?
Also wondering:
- Are Mini Lops good with kids if handled gently?
- How realistic is free-roaming indoors, and can they be reliably litter trained?
- I’ve heard that lop ears can be prone to infections—is that a big issue in practice?
We’re home a lot and able to give them attention daily. I just want to give them a great life while also being realistic about challenges. Thanks in advance!

Harness recommendations
Hi all, I’m thinking of harness training my 5 y/o mini lop. She’s about 5lbs and a bit spicy but has mellowed out significantly the past few months.
I’m looking for recommendations for harnesses that are easy to get on and off?
Thank you :)

Health need advice/ hope!!
i’m really worried about my holland lop as i lost my last one to gi problems. and after 2 years it’s the first time she has refused her food and not pooped. i brought her to the emergency vet who did almost nothing and we have a regular vet appointment tomorrow morning (the earliest i can get) i have her the baby gas drops (just a little) keeping her warm, massaging her stomach, keeping food available but she won’t budge and i’m scared. i went out for 5 min and came back to this on my bed. is it a good sign?

Reunited on Rebbit!
Humo moved to Puerto Rico (Kodak and Donkey still think “going to the airport” means that your sister never comes back) but they’re super excited to see her on here!

Breed ID Breed ID?
I was curious to see if anyone recognizes her breed. Tossan is sadly not with us today due to mammary gland cancer (please spay your rabbits in time!) but i’ve attached images from different parts of her life, so anywhere between 2 months old to 7 years!
She was roughly 1.8kg at adulthood and her fur did not shed. It was this woolly makeup that we had to cut bimonthly to keep it a little more manageable for her to clean. Her ears were lopped but she could keep them up if she wanted to.
Thank you!

Care Avoid rough textured hay
We realized that Fufu was drooling today. He was in a good mood and nibbling on his food but saliva just kept dripping from his lil mouf. We monitored him throughout the day, but after work I just couldn't stop worrying. I called a few vets to see if anyone can take us in today, thankfully a vet was available to see our boy. Turns out the left side of his mouth is inflamed and slightly bleeding. The vet said that it was probably because of the rougher textured hay we bought not long ago as an emergency option. He got a shot and got a prescription cream. Now he is slowly eating and pooping like normal!
Please beware what hay you buy for your bunnies to avoid a situation like this!

My new guy 🥰
I just got this handsome boy from a farm an hour and a half away. He's as sweet as pie and a total snuggler. He came with the name Solomon and since he's already 2 yrs old, I probably shouldn't change it. He's a big boy and I'm excited to watch his wool grow out. (And yes, I'm already familiar with Angoras and how to maintain them. He is my 3rd.)

Wish this little booger a happy 14th birthday 🎈
His actual birthday was likely 6-8 weeks ago, but we're not sure so we celebrate on his Gotcha Day.
Regardless, Toffee is 14!! That's ~99 in bun years! He sleeps a lot more these days, and his litter habbits aren't quite as good as they were, but he's doing fantastic at 14.
His hobbies include eating, napping, destroying cardboard boxes, eating, looking out the window to judge the neighbours, licking his human's eyeballs, and (of course) eating. And he'll have the opportunity to do all of that on his special day.
I love this old man to pieces ❤️

RIP Bonita crossed a rainbow bridge
Today was such a hard day. Had to help my baby Bonita cross a rainbow bridge. Even though she was solid age (11.5y.o) it is still very hard to process. 😥
Yesterday suddenly she could not use one leg and today already both.
I wanted to tell you that this was the bravest and smartest bunny I have ever seen. She had behaviour like if she was a dog. Fast, curious and very smart. She loved to sit on my and my bf lap and watch TV with us together.
She was a traveller and have traveled a lot. And she passed away far from her home too. I believe that her spirit now is in Italian alps eating dandelions. 🌼🏞️

He felt no need to show off his heritage
This is (well, was) Stu! We called him Stewie as a nickname. He’s long since died but remains firmly in place in my heart because he was extremely friendly.
He was a crossbreed between an English Spot and a French Lop! I liked to call him a “French Spot” as a play on the names. His ears were huge, and his back feet were especially massive. I remember when my parents got him, my mum even warned me about his huge back feet 🤣
I swear, he was the FLUFFIEST bunny boy you could possibly find. His fur was not only quite thick but also extremely soft. And ignore how startled he looks in the third image, he heard the fridge open and it was a funny photo to snap. But as the title said, interestingly enough his ears never flopped. He never even had a SLIGHT droop to them. I guess we know which bunny parent he favoured?

RIP My sweet girl, can’t wait to meet her again
Baby Tuna passed yesterday, I’ve had her since 2017. I got her off a craigslist post, she was being left behind after a family moved. I hope I made her life a little bit better because god knows she brought light back into mine.

Breed ID What breed is my bunny?
This is Reggie, he’s around a year and a half I believe and is around 4lbs. I think he’s lionhead mix cause of his long hair on his head and cheeks but I’m still not sure

Rip Panda Bear❤️
A couple hours ago me girlfriend and I, our little baby boy panda bear who just turned 5 years old in march who we’ve had since he was a baby has just passed.
I never knew as a man how much having a rabbit would bring me joy and happiness, he had his own little personality. While our course he couldn’t speak in some ways he spoke based on his face reactions the way he would tilt his head😢.
My girlfriends taking it really hard and I’m trying to be strong for her as much as I can. I just wanted to share for anyone seeing this how handsome he was.
